Vehicle Description
This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Sedan has a true vintage style and the
correct V8 power. But because nostalgia is always supposed to be
better than really was the first time around, this iconic classic
now also comes with air conditioning!
The '56 Chevy has remained the enduring motoring icon because of
how well it represented what we wanted in the 1950s - bright
colors, plenty of chrome, and rocket-inspired designs. And this one
does it best. First and foremost is the two-tone. The red and white
are the period correct colors that they have a good shine to know
how to attract attention. There are the best classic pieces, like
the rear fender skirts and the classic whitewall tires that are
part of this pure vintage package. And of course, these Tri-Five
Chevys are known for their brightwork. Shining bumpers, correct
wheel covers, and the special '56 grille are all looking good.
Plus, the full trim package is complete. That's important on a '56
Bel Air because they were the only ones to get that full-length
streak that lets the two-tone run up the body in such a sporty
style.
The white and red continue inside, and now it's joined by a
tasteful tan. In fact, the color of the carpeting, door panels, and
textured seat inserts all look like you mixed the red and white
together, so it's a very harmonious style. The button-top seating,
artful Bel Air steering wheel, and a bright dash with the sporty
dual cowl design are all part of that great classic feeling. And a
car like this is one you're going to want to drive. That's why
you'll notice that this now has a Vintage Air A/C system with
plenty of vents cleanly installed under the dash. There are even
USB plug-ins in case you want to bring modern music players for the
best all-day driving tunes.
Part of what makes these cars a legend is that the Tri-Fives were
the ones to introduce the Chevy small block V8. So you'll be happy
to lift the hood and see a 265 cubic-inch V8 with a Carter
four-barrel carburetor on top. And while details like the air
grabber and valve covers look stock, you can also see they made
investments in the right places. This includes an upgrade to a
12-volt electrical system that allows for the newer alternator and
electric cooling fan. That makes for an improved cruiser, and the
way this V8 fires up lets you know it's eager to hit the road. And
while this Bel Air has some upgrades, it still wants you to have
the classic feeling when driving - right down to the column-shifted
three-speed manual transmission.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and service
manuals. This is the V8 Bel Air that is roomy enough for the whole
family, and it even has the A/C to keep them all comfortable. It's
time to drive a legend, call today!
