Vehicle Description
This 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible is an absolute icon of the
American road that gives you the ultimate wind-in-your-hair
experience. It only gets better on a car that has its correct color
combo, a touch of GT-style flair, and proper V8 power under the
hood.
Red is a legendary color for Mustangs and the trim tag tells us
this is a factory Candyapple drop-top. This car was restored about
half way through its life thus far, and that gives it the ideal
style. So the red retains a good gloss while remaining nothing too
ornamental to keep you from enjoying this one out on the road. More
than just the color, the allure in this one is about its total
package. There are some nice GT-style details like the fog lights
and dual exhaust tips through the rear valance that gives it a
sporty flair. The full trim is complete, the styled steel wheels
look sporty, and the wraparound chrome bumpers give this a nice
classic American appearance. And speaking of pure Americana, when
the roof is in place, it has the bright white look against the red
to have the same appeal as a Coca-Cola bottle.
If you like the way the roof looks against the red, then the
parchment interior will hold a similar color combo appeal. Opening
this one up is basically as easy as a flip of the power top switch.
And you're going to want to show this off to the world because you
have the desirable premium "Pony" package upholstery. The
upholstery was done at the time of the restoration, and you can
also tell they have taken care of other fundamentals like the
carpeting, door panels, and dash pad. The result is a nice place to
spend some time. They even gave you a modern armrest center console
with cup holders that matches the interior style.
This is a C-code car, and so it's great to see a 289 cubic-inch V8
under the hood. The engine bay looks nice and well maintained,
including a touch of flair with the bold blue block, bright valve
covers, and a matching air topper. The V8 fires up nicely to signal
it has been a well-respected classic, and the dual exhaust has a
nice hint of tune. This was made for you to enjoy, and that's why
there are nice driving features, like the three-speed automatic
transmission, modern Michelin tires, and upgraded front disc
brakes.
Complete with owner's manual, this pony car convertible is ready to
cruise right now. But the only way you get to hit the road tomorrow
is if you call today!
