There are streetrods and there are well built streetrods. This 1937
Ford cabriolet is one of those well built cars. The exterior
features the "Downs" produced body painted with the PPG Passion red
and is in excellent condition. The exterior is set apart with the
addition of Boyd Coddington wheels and the fabulous 1937 Ford front
fenders and grille. Underneath the body is the professionally built
"Fat Man" frame. The rear suspension is a 4 link with coil overs
and a Ford 8" rear end. The front suspension is a Mustang II with
tubular A arms. Stopping power is increased with the big brake
front disc set-up. Powered by a Chevrolet 355 with 4 bolt main and
backed by a 350 turbo hydramatic transmission. A few more
performance items include cast iron heads, 16" electric fan, and
Jet Hot coated headers. The tan tweed interior is also in very good
condition. Some of the features on this great streetrod are power
windows, remote doors, power trunk lid, AM/FM remote stereo, full
VDO gauges, and Vintage heat and AC. This 1937 Ford is a car that
commands attention no matter where it goes, and you can drive it
there comfortably.
