Vehicle Description
This is a cool classic that's 50 years in the making. The exterior
looks like the 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Nomad concept car, but
beneath the custom bodywork is a more modern 2004 Corvette. So you
get some rare and distinctive design lines, and it's now backed by
a powerful LS1 V8, modern suspension, desirable six-speed, and all
the modern amenities you could want.
The specialty builders at Advanced Automotive Technologies (AAT)
were out to make retro-style 50th anniversary Commemorative Edition
Corvettes. While these are rare, something even more extraordinary
and rarer also came from their shop. Chevrolet produced a Nomad
wagon concept car in 1954 based on the Corvette's design. It was
only a dream machine, and it never hit the streets... until now. So
when you see the 50th anniversary badges on this one, it's not only
celebrating a half-century of the Corvette, but this 2004 model is
also correctly recognizing the concept car. It's believed that
there were only six examples of the AAT Nomads, and this is only
one of two in red - always the most desirable Corvette color. They
really took the time to get the details right. The toothy chrome
grille, screens over the headlights, sweeping side trim with jet
tails on the fender, and extra-long tailfins all instantly recall
the first-ever Corvette. We especially love how they got the
integrated exhaust tips and rear slats from the concept car on
these specially built machines. It really ensures this remains
special.
While it's retro on the outside, the inside is all about modern
performance and comfort. The supple leather bucket seats provide
the perfect balance of sports car bolstering and all day comfort
padding. They are both are power adjustable, so you and your
passenger can find the perfect luxury position. A proper limited
edition car like this also needs to come with all your favorite
features. It includes dual zone A/C climate control, a red
leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats, dual airbags,
AM/FM/CD stereo w/Bose speakers, power windows, power locks,
anti-theft system, and keyless entry. There's even the convenient
windshield head-up display (HUD). This awesomely vibrant red
interior has the kind of freshness that will make you want to show
it off with the red exterior. So you'll love taking out the targa
roof. And since this Nomad's rear hatch is functional, it's easy to
stow that top (and extra luggage) for the weekend trips.
While the first Corvettes almost died off because they were
underpowered, you'll never have that problem in this creation. The
C5 was a true leap ahead for sports cars when it received the LS1
motor. So it's great to have the correct modern fuel-injected V8
underneath the classic-style engine cover. The motor was built to
be a happy cruiser for all-day driving. But this one also has the
desirable six-speed manual transmission, and so you're just always
a quick downshift away from truly unleashing the full potential of
this 350 horsepower growler. There's also power steering,
four-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, and a fully independent
double-wishbone suspension. So this is the collectable car that's
also versatile enough for everything from the backroads to the
morning commute.
Complete with owner's manual, a true retro custom like this strikes
the perfect balance between a modern performance car and an
ultra-low numbers classic. So when one Corvette has it all, you
know you need to hurry to grab it. Call today!!!
