Bid on this and many other movie cars and museum props April 14 -
21 during our on-line, no reserve auction that will be held at
volocars.com. We simply have more items than space to display them.
Our loss is your gain!
Screen Used in "Ford v Ferrari".
Rare opportunity to own a vehicle from the greatest car movie of
our era! This Econoline was replicated after a real van used by
Shelby American. A die-cast model was even made of it. It is the
only one built for the move and is the next best thing to the
original Shelby American used van. Not only is it special because
of its movie use but the van has a cool factor being lettered up
"Cobra, Shelby Performance" for any Ford / Cobra fans / collectors.
All of our staff loves this simply because it is cool. It would be
very cool and period correct connected to a trailer with a Cobra on
it.
This 1966 Econoline was born with the optional 240 - 129 HP engine.
It was sold new in California and remained there until 2021 when we
purchased it. The undercarriage is dry with no rust or rot, there
are no signs of rust or collision repairs on the body panels. It
was originally white but repainted blue for Ford v Ferrari. The
paint job has a very nice high gloss quality finish that would be
considered "show quality" to a novice but was not totally
dismantled nut and bolt. I drove it around the block, it runs and
drives well. Most, if not all, the accessories and lights seem to
be in order. Since its use in the movie was static there was no
reason to make modifications that are typical of movie cars like
the removal of factory components.
This is being sold as-is in current condition. It is available for
viewing and inspection prior to the end of auction by appointment
seven days a week 10 - 5. Please do your due diligence prior to
bidding.
