Breathtaking 1967 Chevy Corvette Sting Ray Convertible
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this impressive 1967 Chevrolet
Corvette Sting Ray 2 Door Convertible with red exterior paint,
black hood accents, a matching hard top and a beautiful black vinyl
interior. You'll find a factory correct 427 435 HP V-8 engine under
the hood (VIN on engine pad, does match the title) with the
numbers-matching 4-speed manual transmission and this
ultra-desirable roadster is very nicely documented throughout it's
life.
Additionally, the Engine number TO612JE7120862 decodes to a build
date of June 12th 1967 as an L71 engine that was # 20,862 in
assembly. The engine block stamp shows November 14th 1966 and the
engine casting K-14-6 aligns with a vehicle build date of June
14th, 1967.
Very Rare, Desirable Factory 427 435 HP & 4-Speed Manual
The current owner of this 1967 Chevy Corvette Sting Ray Roadster
purchased it all the way back in 1989 and he has kept all
maintenance receipts and other documentation over the past 32 years
to show proper care of this incredibly rare classic. With a factory
correct drivetrain and an engine bay that's largely stock in
appearance, this is easily the most impressive original example
that we've come across in recent years. The performance is also
exceptional and this classic muscle car really must be driven to
truly appreciate.
In terms of condition, this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray
Convertible has a very straight body with proper alignment, period
correct wire wheels and very nice exterior paint. The chrome is
also super clean with minimal pitting and the side pipes also
appear to be in excellent overall condition. There are a few
insignificant blemishes to be found in the exterior paint but
nothing that detracts from the overall curb appeal or desirability-
this is certainly a show-worthy, numbers matching example.
The interior of this 1967 Chevy Corvette Sting Ray Roadster is
equally impressive with very nice factory seating, carpeting and
consoles. We are unsure if the interior has ever been refreshed,
but we can tell you that the instrument cluster has working gauges
that appear to be factory correct. Likewise, the factory clock and
radio are also functional and everything we see points to an
investment-grade example that has been cared for at the highest
possible levels.
An Incredible Classic for a Remarkable Collection
Overall, this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray 2 Door Convertible
is one of the most immaculate factory-correct examples that we've
seen in years and its tremendous performance clearly speaks for
itself. This example must be seen in person because it will find a
new home very quickly at the current asking price, and it is a
great overall investment that should continue to appreciate in
value.
