For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet Camaro in Mooresville, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

HIGHLIGHTS: LS1 fuel-injected V8! Awesome resto-mod! Three known owners since 1977, 6-speed manual transmission, Hotchkis suspension, and more!

BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and straight, showing that this car has been cared for since the restoration and modifications took place. The body lines are crisp and sharp, and this Camaro is bound to turn some heads! The trunk spoiler adds to that classic "muscle car" look, and the body was restored by a previous owner who was a sheet metal fabricator. The door handles, locks, and trunk lock have all been shaved and were done right. A look at the underside of the hood reveals that it has been welded and smoothed to create a more modern, one-piece look. The trunk lid has been done in a similar fashion. What a stunning car!

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Recently repainted in red with silver stripes, this high-quality paint job leaves very little to be desired. Subtle SS decals adorn the fenders and tail panel, and match the silver stripes nicely. The paint is slick, glossy, and is sure to turn heads anywhere you take this car!

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Step inside the Camaro, and suddenly it feels as if it is 1968 again-for a moment. The set of Autometer gauges molded into a custom dash quickly give it away! A glance to the floor will show a shifter for the 6-speed manual transmission out of the same Camaro as the LS1. The interior is in very nice condition with no damage to the seats or panels. The modern radio in the dash works at should, and powers an impressive but not overpowering sound system ideal for miles of comfortable cruising.

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Lift the hood and you'll be greeted by a fully detailed LS1 V8, with painted accents trying to camouflage it just a little bit better. This LS1 has Z06 bolt-ons and puts out approximately 430HP. The most common question we get on these LS1's is what did it come out of? In this case, this was pulled from a 2002 Camaro SS with approximately 23,000 miles and then received the Z06 treatment.

Underneath the car are all sorts of fun handling upgrades such as tubular control arms and sway bars from Hotchkis Suspension, subframe connectors, SSBC four-wheel disc brakes, stainless exhaust, and a stainless fuel tank. To keep those ponies quiet, you'll find a set of Flowmaster mufflers under the car as well. This Camaro is equipped with an electric fuel pump to feed the fuel-injected LS1 V8 under the hood hooked up to Hedman Headers.

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: This Camaro has the right look and is a true American icon. The stunning paint job and the myriad of tasteful upgrades make this the ultimate modern-meets-classic muscle car!

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Not much!

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? This car is ready to go!

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for an eye-catching, fuel-injected, classic American icon should consider this Camaro!
