Vehicle Description
1932 Ford Dearborn Deuce
Perfect! What else can we say? This 1932 Ford Dearborn Deuce is one
of those top of the line cars that makes just writing this ad a bit
daunting. There is no doubt we will leave some features out because
everywhere you look there is something new to discover. The car
combines modern features with traditional styling to create a 1 of
a kind Hot Rod that is unmatched by most others out there. The
current owner originally drove the all steel bodied car in flat
Black paint powered by a Chevy 350. He then had it redone with the
thought of stepping it up a notch or two to make it a little higher
quality than it was before. Well that notch or 2 became 10 notches
really fast! The result is a beautiful work of art in the form of a
32 Ford. It was created by Don Dillard at Highway 99 Hot Rods in
Tulare, CA. He is a very well known builder in the Hot Rod
community and made his mark before even opening shop with a home
built Suede 30 Ford.
The body is a Dearborn Deuce which is considered among the highest
quality bodies out there available. Their construction is top of
the line and of course, all steel. They also incorporate a custom
panel to house the folding top which is very unique for a 32
Roadster. No more having to decide on top or no top before you
leave the garage. This car is laser straight and painted in a
beautiful 3 stage Crystal Red paint which is a color applied to
Camaros between 2010 and 2015. It looks perfect on the car. To
accent the car further it received the perfect touches of chrome
like the So Cal swan neck mirrors, Limeworks Speed Shop traditional
headlight bar, and a Vintique 32 Ford grille. In order to get the
perfect stance the frame rails were lengthened 2 inches which
extended the wheel base and made room for a larger motor. The
louvered Rootlieb hood was lengthened to match as well and accented
by a McMillan Rod & Custom stainless strip for the perfect
traditional touch. The headlights are a Guide 682-C set up from OTB
gear and the buckets are painted to match. They utilize top mounted
turn signals and chrome rings. The taillights are from a 37 Ford
and custom mounted on the frame. Features like that are so well
thought out and those small details work together to make an
incredibly clean look. You wouldn't think taillight positioning
could make a big difference, but believe us, it does. The Tan top
was created by Ron Mangus who used English Everflex vinyl which is
used on British luxury and sports cars. As mentioned before the top
cleanly folds away and is hidden in an panel behind the seat.
Keeping with its traditional influence the car rides on Big N
Little blackwall tires. The ET wheels by Team III suit the car
perfectly and are wrapped with Hoosier radial tires. The wheels are
16x11 in rear and 15x6 in front. The tires are 31x12.50R16 in rear
and 25x7.50R15 in front.
As mentioned before the frame and hood were lengthened to
accommodate a larger motor because this 32 Ford is now sporting a
5.7L LS6. It is crazy to think that what powers the 2004 Corvette
Z06 is now propelling this 1932 Ford down the road. The LS motors
are known for performance and this one runs just as it should. Not
only does it perform well it looks so clean with the custom accents
packed on. Chrome is everywhere you look but it also wears a custom
air cleaner and intake combo piece created by Highway 99 Hot Rods.
It is painted to match the car and is accented with mesh screens
and McMillan stainless strips. This piece is truly 1 of a kind and
looks perfect. On each side of the motor are Billet Specialties
ribbed coil covers which almost give the appearance of valve
covers. These are accented with the same mesh as the air cleaner to
create a very cohesive look. This also cleanly incorporates short
Red MSD wires. This is the type of engine that wasn't just dropped
in to make the wheels turn. It was thought out and designed to be a
show piece as well as a performer. It has custom shorty headers
that feed into 2 1/2 inch stainless exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers
which deliver the perfect sound. The firewall has a smooth mirror
like finish and is where you will find the chrome Steer Clear
system. Paired with the motor is a 4L60E automatic transmission
that was built by Monster Transmissions out of Florida. The front
and rear end are both from Kugel which is probably the best set up
you can have. Not only for their performance and reliability but
their look as well. The rear end features inboard disc brakes with
drilled/slotted rotors and Billet coilovers. Looking at the
undercarriage you will find it is just as beautiful as the top of
the car. Get those mirrors cleaned up because you are definitely
going to want to show it off. Don't let that scare you off from
driving it though because the current owner built this car to be
top of the line but also to be driven and enjoyed. It is very
reliable and runs down the road very well.
Just when you thought the car couldn't get any better just take a
look at the Ron Mangus interior. It is absolutely beautiful. The
Tan leather was the perfect choice and the layout of the seats,
console, door panels, etc is just perfectly done. Ron Mangus is
well known in the industry for his unique and creative designs.
From the leather down to the square weave carpet it is in
immaculate condition. The center console features push buttons and
knobs for the keyless ignition, power windows, headlights and all
of those types of features. This cleans up the dash nicely which is
topped with Classic Instruments V8 Speedster series gauges that
have been color matched to the car. They are mounted in a So Cal
panel that has a marbleized Red pick guard overlay. That same type
of accent was applied to the Lokar shifter knob, shifter mount and
even the AC vents. Above the push buttons on the console is a
Pioneer audio system to deliver all your favorite tunes. In front
of the driver sits a chrome Flaming River column topped of with a
matching leather wrapped Banjo steering wheel.
This car has a ton going on and there is undoubtedly features we
left out. Every time you look at this car you will find something
new you haven't seen before. You will never find another 32 quite
like this one.
There is no way you could replicate this car for $137,500.00!
