Vehicle Description
If you've been looking for a rugged, go-anywhere, square-jawed
truck with all the goodies, you've just found the best choice on
our website. This stunning 1985 Chevrolet K-10 Silverado 4x4 has
been beautifully restored and looks fantastic in its Candy Apple
Red Metallic paint. With plenty of power thanks to a 350 Crate V8
motor under the hood, heavy-duty Sky Jacker off-road gear
underneath, and a comfortable stock interior, you just don't see
Square Body trucks finished to this level.
Nearly 40 years later, these Square Body Chevy trucks STILL look
fantastic. Forget aerodynamics for a moment, and take a good look
at the angles on this truck, which was originally designed to work
for a living, not sip gas and look pretty. Always a clean, southern
machine, this beauty sports a laser-straight body and terrific
Candy Apple Red Metallic paint that's super slick and shines up
beautifully, although it's still prepared to repel mud and dirt
from playing outside. It doesn't appear to have ever been a work
truck, and the short-bed/regular cab models often enjoy the best
care because they're personal vehicles. The finish is deep and
lustrous, and it looks amazing under our lights where it's
practically reflecting our entire photo booth. And we love that
they left off all the extra aftermarket nonsense that plagues so
many of these Square Body trucks - no cowl hood, no light bars, and
obnoxious grille and bumper set-up. Other than the big lift, this
baby is a stocker, down to the bright chrome and trim that looks
absolutely amazing up against the dark candy paint, the big chrome
bumpers fore and aft, and that commanding stock grill up front that
sports a color-matches trip down the middle. Out back, the slick
painted bed probably hasn't hauled anything heavier than a pillow
in it's day, and it's been finished to the same top driver-quality
standards as the rest of the truck. But don't fret, because whether
you want to put it to work out on the trails, at the job site, or
in the trophy-collecting business at your local car-show circuit,
this big K-10 is going to dominate.
The factory black vinyl-and-cloth bench seat interior was
beautifully refreshed back-to-stock, and its current high-end
condition tells you all you need to know about the easy life this
truck has lived. The durable black upholstery is in excellent
shape, with no rips or tears to be found, and matching black
carpets and Bowtie floor mats make it feel very civilized inside.
The gauges are original and fully functional, covering all the
engine's vitals, while the stock steering wheel is still in place
as well, mounted atop a tilt column that gives the driver ample
room inside. Like most of these '80s era K-10s, it's light on
options, but it does have power steering and power 4-wheel disc
brakes, which are much appreciated with those massive tires and big
lift underneath. There's also a newer retro-style AM/FM/AUX stereo
head unit in the dash, a fresh dash pad up top, new door panels at
the flanks, and a taut headliner up top that finished off the cabin
perfectly.
Powering this 4x4 beauty is a 350 cubic inch V8 crate motor with a
bunch of horsepower-building performance parts and flashy bolt-on
goodies. QuickFuel Technology supplied the 4-barrel carburetor,
Edelbrock supplied the intake manifold, and a set of Doug's
long-tube headers and throaty Flowmaster mufflers really make it
sound nasty. The engine bay itself is beautifully detailed with a
body-colored firewall, satin-black inner fenders, and some chrome
dress-up on the valve covers and tall air cleaner, and all the
mechanical pieces are in excellent shape throughout. A 700R4
4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is linked to a
2-speed transfer case, which feeds beefy axles (10-bolt up front
and a 14-bolt in the rear) when you're off-roading for maximum
traction. Underneath, the chassis was painted and detailed to match
the top, and it's augmented by a big Skyjacker suspension and body
lift that gives this truck an impressive presence over the other
cars on the road. Massive Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ all-terrain
tires are wrapped around a set of flashy Mickey Thompson Classic
wheels for an awesome look, and by the looks of them they've never
seen anything more treacherous than a gravel driveway.
This dialed-in vintage off-roader is ready to hit the trails or
head to the job site where it will perform equally well. Square
Body K-10s don't get finished to this kind of level very often, so
don't miss your chance to get in on the hobby in style. Call
