Family owned, 1972 Dodge truck, D 100, with sweptline 4’ X 8’ bed. It is equipped with original 318 CID and automatic transmission. Heads has been converted to run on unleaded gasoline. Minor rust@ right rear quarter panel. Good frame and body. No accidents. Manual steering and brakes.
Truck runs well. Starts usually on first attempt. All lights and gauges are functional. Original interior but the dash and glove compartment have cracks in vinyl and driver's side is worn down. The odometer reads 28,987 but has turned over once (128,987). Exterior has original paint, however it does have patina on the hood, cab and some on body.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Recently the original 2 barrel carburetor was rebuilt and the timing chain was replaced. New water pump, fuel pump and rubber hoses were replaced. Original radiator. There are no leaks and it does not smoke when starting or driving. The vehicle has been continually driven and registered since 1972.
PERSONAL INFORMATION:
My father-in-law purchased this truck in 1973 from I believe the original owner. He was a fanatic about maintenance and upkeep. In 2009, he gave the truck to me before his passing in 2010. Since I have another truck, I have only used this truck for short hauling trips. It is a dependable vehicle.
