Vehicle Description
If you are in the market for a vintage truck, you know how
difficult it can be to not only find the right one but also find
one of the cleanest examples on the market. After years of hard
use, most of the Silverados that rolled off the line in 2000 are in
rough condition: high milage, rust, dents, and cigarette burns are
basically par for the course. This pristine, Red 2000 Z-71
Silverado is the exception! With only 54k miles, the truck is in
unbelievably good condition. The body is 100% rust and body filler
free. The truck's original and only owner lived in Virginia, which
certainly accounts for the excellent condition of the sheet metal.
This truck has never been in an accident. All the panels are
straight and the gaps are correct. The original red paint is in a
condition that is rarely seen on trucks of this era. It is still
very bright without fading or cracking. The color-matching bed
cover is in the same excellent condition as the rest of the truck.
The interior is also in wonderful shape. The dark cloth
power-adjusting seats and black vinyl dash look like they are new.
The headliner is intact and as tight as a drum. All of the original
factory instrumentation works exactly as it should. All buttons,
indicators, lights, etc. are fully functional. The original owner
attached tasteful wood accents to the interior that look very nice,
but can easily be removed if the new owner prefers.
The truck runs and drives very well. This truck was optioned with
the 5.3L V8 engine, the largest engine option available in 2000.
The engine runs very well and has always received all the
maintenance in needs. The 4 speed automatic transmission shifts
flawlessly. In addition to the larger engine, this truck received
the desirable Z-71 4X4 off road package. The 4X4 system works
perfectly, and it is easy to quickly switch between two and four
wheel drive. This truck needs nothing except a new owner to turn
the key and enjoy!
