This 1982 Jeep CJ7 Renegade represents the ideal classic for those
who want both flair and function. It's the 4x4 with a slick shine
to get attention around town, and everything from the beefy tires
to the big winch up front tell you it never has to take the paved
roads to find its way home. So check out all the investments in
both style and substance.
This CJ has an appealing look, and you can instantly see there was
an investment in uniqueness. The black paint features nice gloss
and modern shine that was made to last. The paint also gives a good
backdrop for the silver Renegade graphics. In fact, this full
package is an expert mix of sleek lack and sliver shine (just look
at the beefy Dick Cepek 15-inch wheels.) The front has the
mirror-like grille and a shining Smittybilt bumper. In-between is a
big Warn 9500 lbs winch to keep you and your friends out of
trouble. The side has tubular step bars and wide fender flares. In
the rear is a full size spare, storage basket, and a bright bumper
that has a notch for the proper trailer hitch.
This CJ was meant to be open to the world, and so the gray interior
goes well with the black and silver exterior. There have been the
right investments here so that you have the sharp-looking gray on
the padded roll bar, newer all-weather seats, and even the bikini
top for those times when you don't want the sunshine on your
shoulders. It's a thoughtful setup with nice extras like a cup
holder center console, marine-grade Sony AM/FM/CD head unit w/aux
input, and upgraded stereo speakers with subwoofer in the rear.
Plus, it's a nice driver with the Grant GT three-spoke steering
wheel on a tilt column. And you have full instrumentation with the
large speed, auxiliary readouts, and the handy tach that's a
hallmark of the upper-level Renegade package.
Under the hood, the 258 cubic-inch inline-six. It's a year-correct
block that's believed to be the original motor to the CJ. It has
the strong-running nature that has kept these motors a favorite in
Jeeps, and you stay in full control thanks to the four-speed manual
transmission. The two-speed 4x4 transfer case, lifted suspension,
newer springs/shocks, and Goodyear Wrangler tires reinforced with
Kevlar make for a terrific off-road package. And for those times
when you just want to roll through town, the power steering, power
brakes, front discs, and newer bushings are also welcomed.
This is a sharp-looking Renegade built to truly be at its best on
or off road. It makes for a great total package you need to take
home. Call today!!
