From one of the country's most pristine hot rod collections. This
is a real Henry Ford all steel rumble seat cabriolet. Only 101
miles since a meticulous, ground up custom build.
EXTERIOR: This is a cabriolet which means it has a convertible top
and roll up windows. It is all steel including the body and
fenders. Gorgeous 1 off custom paint scheme. Absolutely show
quality finishes. The body is pristine and the paint is like glass.
The convertible top frame was restored like new. It has a tan
Haartz cloth with a glass window. The top folds easily and fits
real nice. New smoked glass. New chrome bumpers and handles, custom
grill and matching hood grills. It rolls on a set of chrome
American Racing wheels.
INTERIOR: Very tastefully done. The entire inside of the cabin is
upholstered in soft leather. The custom seat his nice firm cushion,
door panels are sculpted very nicely. The faux woodgrain was
beautifully repainted. It has a new set of vintage looking gauges.
The original radio is in the dash but a stereo is hidden in the
glovebox. A 1940 steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column. Down
on the floor is premium carpet with matching mats and a Hurst
5-speed shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: They kept some old school flavor by giving it a
performance built flathead V-8. It has polished Edelbrock finned
heads and dual carb intake. On top is a pair of Stromberg 97 carbs
with chrome air cleaners. Upgraded to an alternator and it uses an
MSD ignition system. It runs cool thanks to an aluminium radiator,
electric fan, stainless hoses and a polished overflow bottle. The
engine bay is painted smooth and glossy. It is decked out with
chrome and polished parts.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: When is the last time you rode in a rumble seat?
Never? Here is your chance, it's fun! Recushioned seat upholstered
in leather to match the interior. The entire compartment is
upholstered.
UNDERSIDE: Full TCI chassis including a fully boxed frame. In front
it has independent suspension with drop spindles, tubular control
arms, gas shocks, powder coated springs, swaybar and rack & pinion
steering. In back it has parallel leaf springs with lowering blocks
and gas shocks. It has a power brake system with disc in front,
e-brake assembly and electric pump for extra vacuum. The dual
exhaust has old school Smithy mufflers for that raspy Flathead
sound. Bottom of the motor is spotless and is custom attached to a
5-speed trans with a hydraulic clutch. A new driveshaft connects to
a new Currie 9 inch rear. The floors are clean metal painted black
and the chassis is painted the color of the fenders. Every thing is
very neatly installed, every thing looks like new.
This is a beautiful car with a perfect mixture of vintage and
modern style. The quality is what really sold me. The closer you
look at the quality, the more impressed you will become. There is
nothing to apologize for. I am sure this would be well over
$100,000 to duplicate the custom build. With only 100 miles on it,
it is still fresh, you save money and time. No waiting 2 years to
have it built, this one is ready right now!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
