For Sale: 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ in Kentwood, Michigan

The Land Cruiser is Toyota's longest running series. It began in 1951 and is still made to this day. It has been produced in convertible, hardtop, station wagon and utility truck versions. It is known worldwide for its reliability and longevity. The FJ-60 was produced from 1980 through 1989 for most worldwide markets. It is retained the rugged off-road characteristics of previous Cruisers but was refined for urban driving to compete in the emerging sport utility market.

The 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser offered here was purchased new and resided in the state of Arkansas until our recent acquisition. This Land Cruiser is powered by Toyota's legendary 4.2 liter inline 6-cylinder engine, 4 speed manual transmission and Toyota's legendary 4-wheel drive system. This Cruiser is equipped with power steering, power brakes, tilt steering column, tinted glass, center console, bucket seats, dual sport mirrors, tachometer, Alpine custom stereo etc. The interior received new seat upholstery and new carpet. The headliner, door panels and dash all appear to be original. It remains overall very clean and tidy, the dash shows some minor cracking in the pad.

The exterior shows excellent panel fitment and the Copper Metallic exterior paint remains in very good condition showing some expected wear and minor flaws that is constant with age.
Under the hood is clean and tidy and the engine appears to have been routinely serviced.

Mechanically, this FJ60 runs and drives excellent. At just 212,000 original miles, it is very apparent that this vintage SUV has been properly and consistently maintained throughout its life. Recent services include: transmission and transfer case service and re-seal, clutch, flywheel, oil pan seal, clutch master cylinder, belts, etc.

Values on these Toyota Land Cruisers continue to climb, and demand comes from all over the globe. One with the structural integrity and mechanical reliability as the one here is a strong consideration.
