Great running and driving R107 convertible, highly original turnkey driver ready for spring/summer driving
Body:
Finished in medium red, I was told the paint is original by the previous owner and definitely looks like it could be. Has a good shine throughout but shows signs of age and clearcoat has faded through in a couple small spots around the trunk. The body is very straight, no dents or dings. It was kept near the coast most of its life so theres a few small bubbles on the drivers side front fender and on the trunk lid. All trim is in good shape as are the chrome and light housings. It has a black soft top with no rips or tears, just some fading in the plastic windows; also has the matching removable hardtop with electric defrost on the rear window.
Interior:
Interior is almost all original, seats are in good shape with no rips or tears. Carpet and door panels are original as well. The factory dash pad is cracked and a molded cap was put over it. Everything works, A/C, heat, lights, power antenna, ect. A Bluetooth stereo head unit was added with additional speakers mounted behind the seats.
Engine/mechanical:
Car runs very strong, starts right up with no issues and runs with no hesitation or overheating, does just as well on the freeway as it does around town. Recently replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. Transmission shifts smooth with no issues and the ride/handling is decent although I haven’t inspected all the suspension components. Rust proof undercoating was put on from when the car was new, and since it lived near the coast for a number of years theres some general crustiness and grime on some components but everything looks very solid from what I can tell.
