Vehicle Description
2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class
Why This Car Is Special
A long time ago the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon made its name as a Cold
War-era German military vehicle. Its first year of civilian
production was 1979, and the current-generation model hit the
streets way back in 1990.
Over the years, the G-Wagen has earned worldwide admiration for its
exceptional combination of toughness and class. More recently, it's
been stuffed full of the best engines Mercedes offers, including
the glorious 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged 536-horsepower V8 that
powers the 2015 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG we have here at Skyway
Classics.
Mechanical
Our Mercedes has a World-class engine with a go-anywhere skill set,
steeped in tradition, and has plenty of modern technology as it is
a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine rated at 536 horsepower and
560 lb-ft of torque and is backed by a 7-speed automatic
transmission, a sophisticated 4-wheel-drive system with low-range
gearing and locking front, center and rear differentials.
It runs as well as it looks in the clean and detail factory stock
looking engine compartment.
Interior
The G comes with a rich list of standard items in its plus leather
interior with twin front bucket seats and matching rea seat, alloy
wheels, xenon headlights, LED lighting accents, a sunroof, front
and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, a blind spot
monitoring system, keyless entry/start, heated and ventilated power

audio system and the COMAND infotainment system with a navigation
system and a 7-inch central display.
It also has electronic safety aids include a blind spot monitoring
system, a rearview camera and the mbrace2 telematics system, which
features automatic collision reporting, a stolen-vehicle locator,

Exterior
The stunning exterior paint in Silver really richens the overall
look of the Wagon. It even feels a lot more elevated than it looks,
if you can believe that. This is obviously a tall and narrow
vehicle, but these qualities are somehow magnified when you're
behind the wheel.
It has standard the stability control, 4-wheel anti-lock disc
brakes and four airbags, two in front and two full-length
side-curtain units, and comes equipped with a chrome front grill
guard and a spare tire carrier on the rear.
