Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: 43k Actual Mile 1999 Plymouth Prowler, 3.5L V6, 4-speed
auto, custom sound system, gorgeous red on black interior, Clean
Carfax.
BODY OVERVIEW: Introduced in the heyday of manufacturers issuing
retrospective models, the Plymouth Prowler was a limited production
model that was only available for 5 years and saw only 11,702 leave
the factory during that time. The body on this particular example
is clean and straight. The only customization was the front bumpers
were removed but are included in the sale if you liked the look of
the car better with them on. Designed by Chip Foose, the Prowlers
have an eye-catching and unique look!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Only four colors were available to choose
from in 1999 and this Prowler is one of only 1,383 that left the
factory in red. The paint today shows extremely well and best we
can tell is all still original paint except for the nose that was
reshot due to normal road debris. Overall, this car will stand tall
at any car show.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is near showroom
condition, though there is some wear on the driver's seat bolster.
Prowlers were well equipped from factory and this one is no
different. Sit behind the wheel and you'll see just how well
equipped they are: Power steering, power brakes, a leather
interior, cruise control, air conditioning, AM/FM/Cassette stereo
system, power windows, and much more. The only addition is the
aftermarket Clarion head unit and custom speakers and box that tie
in very nicely to the rest of the interior.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Reintroduced in spring of 1998 as a '99 model,
the new Prowler had a new V6 engine that produced 253 horsepower-39
more than in 1997 version. Today the 3.5L V6 acts just the way you
would expect it to when it was new. It fires up easy, sounds great
and is ready for the open road. A 4-speed automatic transmission
ensures that you can cruise easily at 70mph. Stopping power comes
courtesy of the 4-wheel power disc brakes.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: You can't beat the look of a
prowler and few cars can replicate the feeling that a Prowler gives
you with the top down and cruising at highway speeds.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you are taller than 6'3 this
might be pretty tight for you in this car.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Not that we can tell, just a new home.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for a future
collectible with old school styling but yet the modern conveniences
of a new car.
