Paint is the Original Color Tor-Red “Orange” which is one of the most desirable colors in 1970. Body and Paint were done by JM Designs in Temecula, California now based in Lake Havasu Arizona. 2 stage clear coat top and single stage paint on undercarriage. This car has won multiple awards for both build and paint in last 2 years.
Car was totality stripped down bead basted then rotisserie blocked, primed and painted. All those steps can be seen in the pictures attached in the video link above.
Prior to paint the car was stiffen with metal Torque Boxes at key locations to strengthen the chassis for the additional Horsepower created by the big block 440. Result is equal horsepower to torque to ground transfer with zero wasted power. This car is a pleasure to drive unlike the behind the wheel experience as it came out of the factory in 1970.
Originally these cars were good at going fast in a straight line and no consideration for rounding corners. This car has been built with 2020 driving standards applied such as 4 wheel disc brakes with 2” drop spindles for fast stopping. Quick ratio steering box for easy tight turns. Elastomeric Front Bumper to give it that package all In look and flow coming down the street. Rally Dash with famous tic tac clock are nice upgrades that didn’t come on most Cuda Cars In 1970. Interior has been completely restored including new pistol grip shifter, seats, carpet and headliner + ultra rare 3 speaker dash with factory AC.
This Mopar comes with Trunk mounted 400 watts amp and sound system complete with factory 3 way front speaker + Bluetooth compatible. Finally and most important Vintage Air Conditioning that blow ice cold Air thru factory original vents with newly upgraded AC hoses.
245/45/ZR17 + 245/34/ZR17 Nitto Tires running on 17 inch rally custom wheels which give the low profile extra depth and bling on the ground. Tires stick and launch in straight line.
