Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this fantastic survivor 1979 Trans Am which is in superb overall condition with very low actual miles of 21,406. This TA is the last of the line for the Pontiac 400 four speed Trans AM's and comes in the very sought after Nocturne Blue factory original paint. The original Pontiac 400 engine remains in the car as does the original four speed manual transmission. The drive line of this TA is numbers matching see vin stamp photos. This TA features beautiful original Nocturne Blue paint, an original Light Blue Deluxe interior, the original Pontiac 400 engine and Original 4 speed transmission, the Original Build Sheet, and several original dealer books and documents. This TA is very solid with great lines and gaps. There is no rust or rust repairs and no bubbling or cracked paint. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs. This TA is finished in the desirable color combinations of Nocturne Blue over Light Blue Deluxe interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above. The current Ohio title shows the miles as Actual as does the previous two titles.
Exterior
The Blue exterior is in fantastic mostly original condition. This TA has good paint with original decals. The believed to be original paint is in great overall condition for its age with no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the body of this car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have great tread left but are older but have no cracking or noticeable flat spots. The 15" Original Snowflake wheels are in great original condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good original condition. Trunk is very solid and clean and factory correct with the original trunk mat, original spare tire and jack, and the inflator bottle. The underside of this TA is exceptionally solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs. The underside has been undercoated to help prevent any future issues.
Interior
The Blue deluxe interior of this TA is in terrific mostly original condition. The original seat covers are in spectacular condition with no noticeable wear or fading or seam splits. These are factory original covers not some cheap aftermarket covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes and is in good condition. The original dash is in like new condition with no cracks or warping. The engine turned dash bezel is like new as well and correct and looks beautiful in the car. The original stereo still sounds great and thankfully the dash has not been cut on for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in great condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter and clock. The horn, all gauges, stereo, wipers, power windows, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This TA is in great mechanical condition and the original Pontiac 400 engine is still in the car. The Pontiac 400 engine is stamped with PWH on the front of block pad and the vin stamp down below. This is the last of the performance TA's being a factory WS6/W72 package. Sport performance package with the 4 wheel disc brakes along with the higher horsepower Pontiac 400 engine. These engines were reserved for the fours speed TA's in 1979. The engine runs well and the car performs nicely. The car starts easily and the choke works as designed. This TA is very unmolested and the engine bay is stock and untampered with. The hoses, clamps, vacuum lines, emissions, stickers are all stock. All tags, stickers, zip ties, looms, etc. are stock. Two exhaust is stock factory correct and still retains the catalytic converter. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time and runs well. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and the front calipers were replaced. The shocks were also replaced. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
