For Sale: 1934 Chevrolet Coupe in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

"Unique" is one of those words used so often in automotive culture that it's almost lost all meaning. Everything from Ridler cars down to primered Hondas are subjected to a once over and an approving nod before that dreaded descriptor rears its ugly head again. Unfortunately, dropping the word all together poses some problems. What else could we call a creation like this rad 1934 Chevy coupe? Specific? Uncommon? Nah...this thing is unique! Likely even unique enough to reinvigorate the word and remind others exactly how it should be applied. The product of a detailed, ground-up build that transformed a roster of first rate parts into first class street rod art, this exclusive hot rod is stylish, sorted and ready to make your weekends unforgettable!

Beginning life at Outlaw Performance in Avonmore, Pennsylvania, this hot classic's smooth body is some of the best technology the automotive aftermarket has to offer. Fully reinforced, hand-laminated and completely cured to ensure quality that's consistent with steel, its solid fiberglass panels display a level of fit and finish that inspires complete driver confidence. Of course, to successfully execute any ultra-clean street rod means you need to go the extra mile and get everything laser-straight. And fortunately, the guys sanding on this slick Chevy had a deep appreciation for their work. Hours of dogged dedication created a perfect canvas for sizzling Lexus Matador Red two-stage that's been dusted with gold flake. And today, this stunning custom is a swell of virtually unbroken reflections that create one vivacious yet tailored classic!

Of course, tailored doesn't necessarily mean boring. This well-executed coupe strikes an excellent balance between Detroit's unique pre-war designs and the monochromatic style of modern hot rodding. At the front of the car, fiberglass fenders float a fiberglass grille shell around quality Alumicraft metal that complements custom turn signals and polished King Bee Headlights. At the top of the car, billet mirrors reflect a chopped and smoked greenhouse, which hangs billet wiper caps opposite boxed, Chevrolet-style exhaust. At the sides of the car, a characteristically clean profile follows first-generation Camaro hood louvers with shaved doors, fiberglass steps and dramatic snakeskin stripes. And at the back of the car, '39 Lincoln taillights join a flush Center High Mount Stop Lamp to illuminate a '50s Oldsmobile trunk pull.

Check this coupe's glossy engine bay and you'll find a mean Chevrolet Performance Ram Jet 350 that twists a solid 350 horsepower into 396 lb./ft. gravel-spinning torque! At that top of that proven small block, a polished air cleaner forces wind into a stylish Edelbrock EnduraShine intake. At the back of that intake, a hot distributor swirls fire around polished, Chevrolet-branded valve covers with the help of loomed Chevrolet wires. At the base of those covers, Vortec heads and aluminum roller rockers join roller lifters, a hydraulic roller cam, an iron crank, powdered connecting rods and hypereutectic pistons to create stout 9 to 1 compression. Spent gases exit through coated block hugger headers. Ancillaries spin on a polished VIPS serpentine drive. A big aluminum radiator frames a spry puller fan. And details like polished caps, polished breathers and a polished expansion tank ensure this Chevy runs every bit as good as it looks!

Park this classic on a lift and you'll find a sturdy Outlaw III chassis that's ready to battle curves! A familiar Mustang II front-clip strings power rack-and-pinion steering around tubular control arms and Aldan coil-over-shocks. Opposite that clip, a 4-link rear-half stretches tubular bars in front of two more Aldan coil-overs. Behind the small block, a cooled 700R4 4-speed funnels torque through a 9-inch Currie axle that's finished with a posi-traction differential. Stops are provided by a quartet of power-assisted discs. Exhaust rumbles through stainless pipes and polished Magnaflow mufflers. And the car's sinuous fenders frame chromed Foose Legends and fresh Cooper Zeons.

Choice customization continues behind the keyless doors thanks to Taylorsville, North Carolina's Allen Carswell's Pro Auto Interiors and Tops. A leather-wrapped dash is tailored to a full suite of Dakota Digital telemetry, which includes controls for Vintage Air conditioning. A duo of custom consoles anchors Powertrain Control Solutions transmission toggles amid pushbutton accessories, pushbutton ignition and Pioneer touchscreen audio that includes front and rear cameras. Power-operated windows parallel modern bucket seats, which wrap snake-themed hides around retro Chevy insignias. Snake-themed side panels hiss at premium carpet and polished pedals under billet handles and a tasteful headliner. The driver spins a polished and body-matched steering wheel around a polished, tilting column. And out back, a snake-themed trunk seats a polished fuel filler opposite a chrome fire extinguisher.

So, there you have it. This brilliant Chevy is a sorted, one-of-a-kind custom that can be shown and/or driven just about anywhere. You don't get much more "total package" than that. If you're ready to help redefine "unique" in one meticulously built bowtie, don't miss the chance to take home this cool coupe!
