Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is an all-around well-done
car. The numbers matching V8 is a strong-runner that also has the
sleek look of a silver bullet. And while we all love the
wind-in-your-hair experience, this one also has an attractive
color-matched hardtop.
Cortez Silver is one of the brightest and most distinct metallic
colors offered on the Stingray, and it was only available for two
years. So it's great to see the factory-correct hue really drawing
attention with its shine. That's because there was an investment in
a quality respray later in life. Also, keen eyes will notice that
the front fender vents are the sleeker style from a few years later
in the C3's timeline. Add in well-fitting panels, and the result is
a sunshine-friendly convertible that radiates with pride in the
sunlight. Nice chrome bumpers and proper Rally wheels also add to
the shine and sophistication of this Stingray.
This has a color-matched hardtop that gives it a distinct
coupe-like profile. Of course, one of the big reasons for owning a
classic convertible is to be open to the world. So we're glad to
see the black interior. It looks good against the silver, and even
goes with the 1969 car's darker grille. There are even nice touches
like the desirable headrests and custom door panels. There's an
unmatched feeling as you grab the three spoke steering wheel, gaze
at the large speedo and tach directly in front, and see your full
auxiliary gauge panel at eye-level. It makes for a package that
begs you to get in and drive.
The engine is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. It looks good
with the bold orange block, and plenty of polish from the air
grabber, valve covers, and distributor shield. It's also got the
right pieces you want - everything from a four-barrel carburetor to
an upgraded aluminum radiator w/electric fans. The V8 fires up
readily, runs strong, and the three-speed automatic transmission
shifts smoothly. So it really gives you the feeling of a classic
made for driving. Plus, with power steering, fully independent
suspension, and four-wheel power disc brakes makes this an exciting
anytime classic.
Sleek looks, drop-top fun, and a strong driving character are a
recipe for a terrific Corvette. So you know you don't want to miss
this Stingray. Call now!
