319-366-7600 1977 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28. Besides the Camaro
outselling the Ford Mustang (198,755 to 161,654) for the 1st time,
the biggest news in the Automotive industry in 1977 was the return
of the Z28 Camaro. No longer just an engine RPO, the Z28 was a
specific model, with emphasis on the suspension and appearance. The
Z28's 350 V8 engine made 185 hp, exhaling through dual exhaust
resonators and it came mated to the close ratio M21. Suspension
included: F 41 package; front & rear swaybars, special springs,
special shocks and faster steering. In the appearance department
the Z got blacked out grills, rear panel and rocker panel, dual
sport mirrors, front & rear spoilers, and body colored bumpers.
Only 13,000 Z28 Camaros were built in 1977. With a catchy color
scheme of black paint with red/orange graphics, there is no
mistaking this car for any other. Inside this beautiful restoration
you will find black vinyl bucket seats with full length console and
4 speed shifter. 120 mph speedometer shows only 53,xxx and is
believed actual. This rock solid Van Nuys California built car
isn't just about good looks, it also has a lot of options. ice cold
A/C, AM/FM/8 track tape player, factory gauges, tinted glass, power
steering, aftermarket Wilwood 4 wheel power disc brakes, new radial
tires, vinyl bucket seat interior, seat belts, center console.
Under the hood of this beauty rumbles the original numbers matching
all stock 350 5.7-liter V8 with aftermarket polished aluminum valve
covers and ceramic coated headers and flowmaster style mufflers.
This Z28 has the optional engine, which is 10 more horsepower than
the base 5.7-liter they offered. Pretty much stock except 17 inch
TSW aluminum alloy mag wheels and the brakes. this Z28 has a 373
rear end ratio. These 2rd Generation Camaros have become highly
collectible over the last few years, and this is one of the rarer
packages. These cars will only continue to climb in value in the
future and this example can be bought for a very reasonable price
based on today's collector car market. This car has some great
options and a original build sheet and believed to be around 53,xxx
actual miles.
