Vehicle Description
STK 2910 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III
This 2-owner, unmolested 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III appears
to have been taken from a time-capsule. The speedometer reads
59,100 miles and, judging by condition, may very well be actual.
Even the original Bill of Sale and Owner's Manual are included with
the car. Look at the photos - this beautiful Mark III utilizes the
classic long hood/short deck configuration that was prominent for
this generation of luxury coupes. The original Medium Green (code
P) finish and contrasting Dark Green vinyl top are in excellent
condition. Inside, the elegant Dark Green leather/vinyl interior
looks virtually showroom. English oak accent trim is applied to the
dash and door panels and the Mark III is equipped with air
conditioning, 6-way/reclining power split-bench seat, power tinted
windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cruise, headlight dimmer, factory
AM/FM stereo and concealed headlights. Horsepower is provided by a
460ci 385 Series V8 that outputs 365hp/500ft-lb. It is said to
never have been rebuilt and is still running flawlessly. The 460 is
backed by Ford's C-6 3-speed Select-Shift automatic that transfers
torque to a factory differential with 3.00:1 gearing. (The entire
drivetrain is said to be matching numbers.) This fifth-generation
Mark III has full side-rail frame construction and is fitted with
the Cross Country Ride package and coil springs at all four
corners. The coupe is equipped with power steering and power front
disc/rear drum brakes (11.7"f/11"r) w/dual master and Ford's early
ABS system SureTrack. Steel wheels mount Dayton 15" radials and are
accented by stunning factory wheel covers. The 1971 Continental
Mark III was not a high volume model (approx. 27,000 built) and
there are very few of these classic coupes around today - fewer
still in virtually showroom condition. Our beautiful Lincoln will
look stately in your garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
