1963 STUDEBAKER HAWK GT. THE 1963 BEING THE RAREST AND THE MOST
COLLECTABLE. THIS CAR IS IN EXCELLENT OVERALL CONDITION. IT RETAINS
IT'S ORIGINAL STUDEBAKER 289CI V8 ENGINE AND IT'S ORIGINAL
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE ENGINE HAD A COMPLETE OVERHALL 3 YEARS
AGO AND NEEDLESS TO SAY IT STARTS RIGHT UP AND RUNS GREAT. THERE IS
OF COURSE NO SMOKE, NO LEAKS AND NO UNUSUAL NOISES. THE
TRANSMISSION; I BELIEVE TO NOT HAVE BEEN REBUILT, BUT I HAVE NOT
HAD ANY ISSUES WITH IT. IT GOES INTO GEAR WITH EASE AND SHIFTS
GREAT. AT THAT TIME, ALL OF THE HOSES WERE REPLACED AND THE
RADIATOR WAS REBUILT AT BURTON RADIATOR. THE GAS LINES AND FUEL
PUMP WERE REPLACED AS WELL. 2 YEARS AGO ALL THE BRAKE LINES,WHEEL
CYLINDERS AND BRAKE SHOES WERE REPLACED. THIS CAR WAS ORDERED WITH
TWIN TRACTION AND POWER BRAKES AS THAT WAS VERY RARE. AT THE TIME
OF THE RESTORATION THE HEATER CORE WAS REPLACED AND THE HEATER
HOSES WERE ALSO REPLACED. THIS CAR ALSO RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 2
BARREL CARB. AND IT'S ORIGINAL AIR CLEANER. THE EXTERIOR WAS
REPAINTED AS WELL I BELIEVE ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO BY A PROFESSIONAL
SHOP. THIS CAR WAS NOT A RUST BUCKET TO BEGIN WITH. AS YOU CAN SEE
BY THE PICTURES, IT WAS DONE TO A VERY HIGH QUALITY 2 STAGE PAINT.
THERE IS ALOT OF CLEAR ON THE CAR. THE PAINT IS EXCELLENT AS IT IS
DEEP AND RICH. THE WAS MINIMAL FILLER USED. ALL THE PANELS ARE
RAZOR STRAIGHT AND ALL THE PANELS FIT PERFECT. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY
NO RUST ON THIS CAR EITHER. AT THE TIME THE EXTERIOR WAS REDONE ALL
OF THE RUBBER WAS REPLACED AS WELL. ALL OF THE GLASS IS ORIGINAL
AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THERE ARE NO CRACKS OR CHIPS. ALL OF
THE WINDOWS OPERATE WITH EASE INCLUDING THE WING WINDOWS. THERE IS
A SMALL CREASE ON THE LOWER PASSENGER QUARTER PANEL ABOUT 5 INCHES
LONG AND A QUARTER INCH WIDE. I DID THAT WHEN BACKING UP ONE DAY IN
MY GARAGE. IT IS CLEAR ON THE PICTURES. ALL THE CHROME AND
STAINLESS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. MOST OF IT HAS BEEN REPLACED
OR RECHROMED. THE PIECES THAT WERE NOT REPLACED.
