looking for an attention grabbing street-rodded truck, take a good
look at this 1954 Ford F100! This Ford was featured in Custom
Classic Trucks magazine with a 4-page spread! The exterior is
painted in a classic white that is brought to life with Bright Red
hot rod flames! The tilt hood is a real attention getter at car
shows, and everyone loves wide white wall tires on red steel wheels
with chrome center caps. A custom locking fiberglass tonneau cover
protects the beautiful wood bed, and your belongings. It is painted
to match with red flames that carry on seamlessly from the body.
Under the hood rests a built 383 stroker with aluminum Edelbrock
heads, Edelbrock Performer intake and Edelbrock 4-barrel
carburetor. Turn the key and the engine fires up with a great sound
through shorty headers running to dual exhaust with Flowmaster
mufflers. Nothing sounds better than a set of Flowmasters! Looking
in the engine compartment you will see a lot of chrome, including:
valve covers, air cleaner with red flames, electric fan, oil and
transmission dipsticks. There are billet spark plug wire looms that
hold the red plug wires, and a red HEI distributor that fits right
in. Nothing was overlooked in the build of this truck. Even the
engine block, balancer, and transmission case are red! A Mustang II
front end provides disc brakes with rack and pinion steering for a
much-improved ride quality. The shifting is handled by a Turbo 350
automatic with a B&M shifter on the floor. It then runs out
back to a Ford 9" rear end, because even guys who want Chevy
engines know that no one made a better rear end than a Ford 9".
Jump inside to find modern Tahoe seats that have been covered in
gray and red vinyl, with a handy center console with cupholders in
between. A chrome tilt steering column with red leather wrapped
billet steering wheel is comfortable and cool. White Auto Meter
gauges sit inside a billet gauge bezel on the red painted dash. The
custom center console has a cutout for a CD player, which comes
with the truck but needs to be installed. For additional
