1970 Chevrolet Stingray Corvette Convertible LT1
Car History
We have a 1970 Chevrolet LTI Corvette Convertible here at Adventure
Classics with a great rare color combination of red with a black
interior and white top and an engine number stamped with the Vin #
S411151 and accompanying factory paperwork too.
It has a ton of documentation and was actually a Canadian Export
Corvette.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our 1970 has a 350 cubic inch engine and backed by the M21 4-Speed
ratio transmission. This engine is powerful and also great looking
with a high-rise Winters dual-plane design aluminum intake, a
Holley carburetor, finned aluminum rocker arm covers, and a chrome
open-element air.
The engine looks nice in the correct shade of orange Chevrolet
paint with wrapped headers and dual exhaust system, red performance
spark plug wires, and it runs incredibly well.
Its excellent road manners plus the 4 wheel power disc brakes make
stopping effortlessly and this Corvette a joy to drive.
Interior
Our Corvette has the classic black interior which Chevrolet
improved upon in a number of areas. The seats underwent a design
change that added an inch of urgently needed headroom as well as
better lateral support. The headrests are integrated into the seat
design and has a more accessible release button for the seat back
hinge.
Our interior looks great with the matching black door panels,
steering wheel, dash with all the factory gauges and tachometer,
the optional electric windows, stereo AM/FM radio system, black
carpet, horn alarm system, center factory console which houses the
chrome 4-speed shifter, and more.
Exterior
If you want to stand out in a crowd, then the bright red paint on
our 1970 Corvette will do it better than the original white that it
was. It has all the great styling cues on a 1970 like LT1
performance raised hood with the white LT1 stripes and emblems, the
egg-crate patterned grille and matching louvers along the fenders,
more deeply flared wheel lips introduced to reduce the severity of
the bodyside tuck-under, parking lights that were now squared off
and set into the corners of the grille, and rectangular exhaust
pipe tips recessed into the underside of the tail.
Our Corvette rides on the factory correct 15x8 Chevrolet Corvette
Rallye Wheels with black wall Kelley Charger tires and is an
excellent driver that can be enjoyed for many years to come.
Conclusion
The 1970 Chevrolet LTI Corvette Convertible we have here at
Adventure Classics is one of the most desirable small block
Chevrolet Corvettes ever made. It has one of the most sought after
engine and transmission combinations ever, flashy red paint, black
interior, and the super white convertible top.
It is not only a very collectible car now but it will do nothing
but increase in value in the future.
