California/Arizona truck. It was body off the frame restored with
many upgrades: stroker motor, overdrive automatic, a/c, stereo and
4 wheel drive. Not to mention it's loaded with factory features
like power steering and power disc brakes, tilt wheel and much
more. It's also a great looker!
EXTERIOR: The body appears to be real clean. It is straight, fits
right and there is no signs of rust or damage. The red-black 2 tone
is very attractive. The paint is polished to a smooth and glossy
finish. The chrome and trim looks great. It has the deluxe moldings
with woodgrain trim, chrome bumpers and a cargo light. The glass is
tinted. It is rolling on some Eagle polished alloy wheels with
Nitto all terrain 285-75-17 tires. Tires and wheels look close to
new. The jambs are clean metal and painted nicely. It has bowtie
sill plates and new weatherstrips.
INTERIOR: It's really nice and has a lot of features. All the metal
was repainted gloss red. It has the deluxe door panels and
headliner. Comfortable split bench seat. The glove box door and
instrument panel were replaced. There are aftermarket tachometer
and gauges neatly installed. The walnut 3 spoke steering wheel is
on a tilt column. The retro stereo fits in the factory hole. There
are molded kick panel speakers, a subwoofer and aux plug. Updated
heat and air conditioning controls. New chrome vents, visors,
mirror, firewall pad and carpet. It has updated shift indicator for
the overdrive automatic. The wiring harness was replaced and fuse
block updated with push in fuses.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: That's a 383 stroker motor under the hood which
offers plenty of power. An Edelbrock intake and carb let the fuel
and air in, an MSD billet HEI distributor ignites it and a set of
Hooker headers let it out. It features power steering and power
brakes. It was fitted with an Old Air Products heat and air
conditioning system. Every component looks clean and proper. It has
a fan shroud, the squirters are hooked up, the alternator looks
newer. The firewall and under the hood are gloss red. The inner
fenders and core support are smooth semi gloss black.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: There are no dents or rust. The floor was
sprayed with durable bedliner, the rest of it is gloss red.
UNDERSIDE: Born a C-10, it was upgraded with a 4x4 chassis during
it's 2 year restoration. It has lifted springs and adjustable
Rancho gas shocks both with polyurethane bushings. In back it has
adjustable air bags. The components all look fresh. It was
obviously apart and restored. The front end has been gone through.
It has a great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. It
has a custom fuel tank relocated from behind the seat to under the
truck between the frame rails. It has disc brakes in front with
stainless braided hoses. The e- brake cables are hooked up. The
metal floors and chassis are clean, dry and smooth. The hitch
receiver is rated at 10,000 lbs with 6 point round plugin.
I admit, big trucks aren't my thing, or I should say weren't my
thing. I love this truck. It looks great, tastefully chosen colors,
wheels etc. It is full of convenience options which I'm used to. It
is exceptionally clean and looks like it was done right!
