Vehicle Description
Eric's Muscle Cars is proud to offer this 1965 Pontiac GTO. This
excellent restoration has been Garage kept since finished and NEVER
left out in the weather. This post model, PHS documented Goat was
built in Sept of 1964, Baltimore Plant. Early three digit
production number and was driven enjoyed and babied since its
restoration in 2008. Original spinner hubcaps on original 14x6
rims. Hubcaps do show signs of age- minor dings, scrapes. They do
not reproduce these hubcaps. Front and rear bumpers were rechromed
during restoration.Original power drum brakes, power steering. New
Interior includes Carpet, headliner, door panels, package tray, and
seat upholstery. New windshield. All other glass appears to be
original- no tint. Powered by the original 389 block to this
vehicle, 23,000 miles on rebuild. Heads are #13 RAM air #3, Intake
is 1969 factory cast iron Q-jet high rise with a Holley 650 spread
bore double pumper. Cam is a melling hydraulic version of Pontiac's
068. Roller timing chain, cylinders were bored .030. Sealed Power
forged flat top pistons were used. Ram Air option added, hood scoop
is functional. Premium gas w/ octane booster makes this a very nice
ride. Engine is very strong, no knocks, rattles, or oil burning.
Only Mobil 1 synthetic 10w40 with a zinc oil supplement used on oil
changes. The original Super Turbine 300 automatic trans was
replaced with a turbo 350. Trans is strong, does have a minor front
seal leak. Rear axle was upgraded to a BOP 3:55 gear posi unit.
Original was an open carrier with 3:31 rear gears. Yes folks, you
had to order a posi rear extra even with the GTO option. Rear
stabilizer bar, new coil springs and boxed lower control arms also
upgrade the rear suspension. Check out the photos, watch the video.
This vehicle needs to be taken to the next level, It's almost
there. Just a few more finishing touches by the next owner. I've
loved and enjoyed this car for the last 13 years, its time to pass
it on. These post models are rare. Total GTO'S produced in 1965 was
approx.. 75,000. Out of the 75,000 produced less than 8000 were
post models. Makes you wonder how many are left after 56 years.
This IS the REAL DEAL with Pontiac documentation. All documentation
will be given to the buyer at the time of sale.
