The Cadillac Allante is a very unique car Cadillac produced. The
luxurious body and interior design were built by Pinafarina in
Turin Italy. Finished bodies were flown to GMs Detroit assembly
plant where the power plant and suspension was installed. The car
became known as The Flying Italian Cadillac. Each completed car was
driven 25 miles for an individual evaluation. The factory price in
1987 was 54,500.00. Only 3,666 models were produced in 1987 with a
total of 6,000 Allantes ever produced, making this yet another rare
collectible classic car. Another interesting feature to note is
that the 1987 Allante launched Cadillac as the first manufacturer
to use multiplexed wiring to control lighting on a production
automobile. The Allante also introduced to the industry the first
power retractable AM/FM/Cellular Telephone antenna on a
vehicle..This 1987 Cadillac Allante is a 2 owner car and it is in
excellent driver condition. Exterior is Pearl White with a burgundy
leather interior. Engine is Cadillacs multi-port fuel injected
version of GM's aluminum 4.1 L V8 along with roller valve lifters,
high-flow cylinder heads, and a tuned intake manifold. This car is
fully loaded with options.Miles are 133,000 but the car looks more
like a 30,000 miles car. It has always been garaged and clearly was
extremely well maintained over the years. Car is located in NC.
