For Sale: 1957 Porsche 356 in Alpharetta, Georgia

Vehicle Description

This beautiful Red 356 Speedster Replica has just under 4200 miles, is in amazing condition and runs and drives as good as it looks! That’s correct, I did say Replica, but not just any replica….this speedster was hand built by Vintage Speedsters out of California, one of the original builders of Porsche Speedster Replicas. In fact they had built about 90% of all the Porsche Speedster replicas on the market and their quality and customer service was top notch. They sold the company several years ago. They used a custom built, jig welded 2×4″ 11 gauge steel frame. This rigid new structure retains the original VW floor pan designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and integrates the largest frame possible. In addition the steering wheel is offset slightly just as it was in the original Speedster. While original Speedsters are a rare breed, Vintage Speedster Replicas are rare in their own right with roughly only 3000 built. This will be a great addition to any car guy or gals collection, or perfect for anyone looking for a truly unique sports car investment that can be driven anywhere as well be taken to the car shows and cruise-ins. Most people have no idea that this is not an original worth well over $200k and it will be up to you if you want to reveal the secret when you get stopped everywhere you go. I will do my best to provide you with enough large images, a video of the car running and an honest description to help you decide if this is the one for you. Sit back and enjoy! I am also a transport broker and can assist the buyer with Enclosed Transport anywhere in the US and I welcome overseas buyers as well and can assist in getting the car to the port of your choice.

This particular car was built in 2016 for the original owner who I purchased it from. This was one of the cars on his bucket list and he thoroughly enjoyed driving in the Spring/Summer months and stored it inside an airplane hanger during the winter months. The car was pampered and always properly maintained with oil changes and valve adjustments when needed. He has decided he now wants a 1958 Corvette and so he contacted me to let me know he was interested in selling it. I bought it from him and it transported in an enclosed trailer to my showroom here in the Atlanta GA. It is now available for the next lucky owner to enjoy...maybe you!!!?

As you will see in the pics, the body on this Speedster is in amazing, near flawless condition. Body panel fit is fantastic and the doors on this replica open and shut like a new Porsche. Everyone who sees this car is extremely impressed with how authentic it looks. Other than a few very tiny rock chips, the body is in near flawless condition.  All of the chrome trim and stainless looks excellent. This one also has the additional bumper guards on front and rear. I believe these Speedsters should be driven top down as often as possible but of course it is nice to know that if needed this Speedster has a gorgeous tan convertible top that goes up in minutes and fits very nicely. There are side window inserts as well. The top is in like new condition. When you have the top down you have 2 options with this car since it was ordered with the optional full tonneau cover which allows you to close the whole cabin of the car when it is parked and zip out the drivers area during your ride. Or, simply use the boot cover. But please, enjoy this baby topless as much as possible!!!

Complimenting the gorgeous Red Exterior exterior is an equally impressive camel colored leather interior. This is an awesome color combination on these cars! The seats in this Speedster are the thicker, more cushioned seats that you would have found in the Cabriolet models back in the day. The interior is also essentially flawless. Simplistic sophistication is the best way to describe the layout of the interior.  Seat belts for both front passengers. There is a rear seat pad but I think it is more like a storage shelf than a seat. Door panels and carpeting look great. Dash is neatly laid out with all of the gauges you need to monitor the performance of this air cooled 1915 cc dual carb engine. All of the gauges, lights, turn signals etc are working correctly. Ivory Banjo Steering wheel adds to the period correct look. A vintage looking Retrosound Stereo is  mounted under dash with hidden speakers under dash.  Nice set of Coco mats finish out the interior.

The 1915 cc dual carb air cooled engine is very strong and cruises along at highway speeds with no problem. A recent valve adjustment and oil change was performed. This particular car also has the upgraded 3.88 Freeway flyer transmission allowing you to cruise along at 70+ mph on the highway.  The car has a nice tone from the tri-mil dual exhaust and you can hear it running in the video that follows. This little speedster also handles really well with front sway bar, and adjustable rear swing plates,. Beautiful set of chrome wheels with the baby moon hub caps. Braking is a breeze with the upgraded front disc brake option this one has. Maintenance is cheap and easy on this car and any foreign car mechanics should be able to do a valve adjustment and tune up every 3-4,000 miles to keep it running great The Speedometer and Odometer on this one were done in Kilometers for that European flare. The undercarriage looks great and engine bay is also nice and clean as you would expect. Turn the key and enjoy... It will be a ride to remember but make sure you leave a little extra time for all the questions and thumbs up you will get along the way. There is nothing this car needs but you in the drivers seat!! It is registered as a 1968 VW which makes it easy to register and insure.

Be sure to watch the video that follows to hear it start up and running. It is the second picture that you can click on the arrow to play the video.
