For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet El Camino in Groveland, California

Vehicle Description

Price slashed! Three-owner mint condition Custom Street Machine: not one rock chip nor rust spot. Purchased new in Washington State the 2nd owner bought it at 43k miles and contracted the current build when it had 65k-70k miles (receipts at end of photos). The original 350 engine was replaced by a high-performance 327 bored 60 over. Paint was done by Northwest Tinman Sedro-Woolley WA. Engine done by Puget Sound Automotive Sedro-Woolley WA. Interior by Johns Auto Toggery Mt. Vernon WA. After the car was completed it has always been garaged under a cover and it has never seen rain. The current Sacramento Valley owner bought it with 94131 miles at a Chevy Dealer four years ago where it had been traded as down payment on a new Motorhome. This 3rd and current owner did major undercarriage cleaning and detailing; replaced the air shocks suspension air bags and front brakes. Less than 900 miles logged since has been entirely from local car shows and cruises The truck has been featured at some Pro-Blue events.Sound system: Sony CDX 7000 52wX4 AM/FM/CD/XM player.Named in Spanish for the path the El Camino is perhaps best summed up by Billy Ray Cyrus' description of his legendary mullet: Business in the front party in the back. The most popular and valuable El Caminos are at the height-of-the-muscle-era 1968-1972. The most sought after of those appears to be the 1970 model due to the availability of the high-horsepower 454 engines. The 1970 model received sheet metal revisions that gave the body a more squared-up stance and interiors were also redesigned. The El Camino is not exactly a Chevelle with a bed. Its 116-inch wheelbase was 4 inches longer than the sport coupe or convertible though the same as the sedans and the station wagon. Underpinning the El Camino was an all-welded perimeter frame with boxed center members. Only the convertible and the El Camino had boxed frames all others had C-shaped frame members.Build details: Keith Black Flat Top pistonsDouble-Hump Cylinder Heads202 valves 272 cam327 Large Journal Crank Shaft (balanced)Beam Billet Rods (balanced)Holley 0-80670 670 CFM Street Avenger Carburetor w/Electric ChokeEdelbrock Performer Air-Gap Intake Manifold w/Endurashine coatingHooker Headers Competition Headers - Stainless Steel3.73 12 bolt rear endFlowmaster 40 Series Exhaust SystemBillet Specialties Tru-Trac serpentine belt systemFlex-a-lite 330 compact fuel electric fans w/stainless temp relayBed Armor Truck Bed CoatingCragar chrome wheels w/Mickey Thompson tires (near-new)ACCEL HEI ignitionWe offer this incredible El Camino for $28900.Doubtful a nicer one for the price can be found.Engine: 327 cu in (5.4 L) V8 bored 60 over (337 cu in)Transmission: Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed AutomaticColors: Custom Strato Blue pearl metallic with Black vinyl Curb weight: 3501 lb.Odometer: 95010 miles (engine approximately 27000 miles)VIN: 136800k218680 Visit My Car Guy online at www.mycarguy-sf.com to see more pictures of this vehicle or call us at (415) 860-1505 today to schedule your test drive.
