Vehicle Description
This restored 1955 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan really showcases what
we love about the 1950s. With proper V8 power, an exceptionally
authentic presentation, and a terrific two-tone inside and out,
this is true post-war optimism on wheels.
This car stands out for all the right reasons. There was an
investment here...it didn't turn this into a hot rod...it didn't
ture this into a restomod...it just turned back the clock. Aquatone
Blue and Snowshoe White are era-correct Ford colors, but the
application is far fresher. There is a beautiful gloss and shine
from the two-tone that lets you know there was a fresher investment
to let this two-door radiate quality. And that important
full-length sweeping trim that divides the two colors is just as
stunning. In fact, you can see there was attention paid to all the
brightwork - from the wraparound chrome bumpers, to the wheel
covers with Ford family crest in the center. This even has all the
best details, like the whitewall tires, side window overhangs, and
rear fender skirts. It all makes this Fairlane look like it turned
back the clock while also shining as bright as your nostalgia.
The interior was done in a multi-tone blue that harmonizes with the
exterior while providing its own sense of style. This all has a
nice freshness, and just like the outside, they really paid
attention to keeping this feeling classic. It's in the loop of the
carpet, the style of the triple-tone door panels, and the feel of
the seat's cloth inserts with button-top trim. This is a true time
capsule interior, and so you get everything from the
Thunderbird-style Plexiglas speedometer, to the AM radio that's
still cranking out tunes. In fact, the only upgrades you may notice
are the readouts under the dash for the engine temp, voltage, and
oil pressure. And everyone who drives their classics will
appreciate those.
Under the hood is Ford's trusty and powerful 272 cubic-inch Ford V8
motor, and it's presented quite nicely for this U-code Fairlane. So
you'll enjoy all the correct components like the tall oil bath air
cleaner, Ford script on the valve covers, and bold red block. And
because this is set up to be a true cruiser, you have a two-speed
automatic transmission, and the classic whitewalls hide a more
modern tread. And the solid ride of this Ford reminds you of the
overall quality of the car.
