GarageKeptMotors.) This is not the Ford Mustang you were expecting.
It's way, way better. €"Automobile magazine, September 2015 The
editors of Automobile magazine continued: From the moment in 1964
when the cover came off the Mustang, Ford has always wanted this
car to become more like America's sports car, less like America's
ride to the golf course. Yet decades of good intentions always have
yielded to the understandable obligation to make a profit, and so
the Mustang has always been undone by the limited performance that
could be delivered at an affordable price. But now the 2016 Shelby
GT350 finally delivers, no excuses. It's a sports car, not a sports
coupe. And even better, it's affordable, too. Motor Trend was even
more direct: ... this is the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350 we've all been
waiting for, and... is, perhaps, the best all-around sports coupe
there is. No, it really is.... Offered here is a virtually new,
mint-condition, 2016 Shelby GT350 showing just 2,421 one-owner
miles on the odometer. It is one of just 625 built in this color.
The car was optioned from the factory with the highly desirable
$4,400 Track Package. The pride of the original owner is evident in
the care given to the car, including adding enough miles to be sure
the car stayed exercised, rather than locking it away in a vault.
The car's Race red paint is unblemished, uniformly glossy, and
perfectly appropriate for a Shelby creation. The twin over-the-top
white-with-thin-black-trim racing stripes harken to the Shelby
Mustangs of old. All trim (including the front Shelby-branded
splitter spoiler) is free of wear; all emblems (including the
Shelby cobras) are in their factory-applied locations; all four
gloss-black-painted, 10-spoke aluminum wheels (wearing Michelin
performance tires) are as-new. This Shelby could've just rolled out
of a Ford-dealer showroom. Inside, the same unblemished descriptor
applies to every surface, all executed in black with brushed-metal
enhancements. Recaro-branded racing seats with suede inserts and
GT350 embroidery on the headrests show no wear. Door sills retain
the factory-applied protective plastic sheets over the bespoke
GT350 badging. Factory plastic carpet-protecting sheeting remains
in place. The purposeful, driver-focused dash and instruments are
in perfect condition and are framed by the cobra-emblem steering
wheel. Every feature works as it should; every graphic or
switch-identifier-including on the console-mounted 6-speed manual
shifter-is without wear. Under the hood, the 5.2-lier,
526-horsepower V8, in sinister-looking black, lurks beneath a
factory-installed, Ford Performance-branded shock-tower brace. The
engine features the signatures of the men who built it. As with the
rest of the car, the surfaces on the engine and related components
are spotless, and the same applies to the car's chassis when viewed
from below. One more sign of the first owner's love for the car:
The sale includes a cobra-branded car cover, all original purchase
materials including the window sticker, a host of promotional
material and collectible items. While the more than 180
high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup
video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this
Shelby GT350 in great detail, we encourage in-person in
