Vehicle Description
The 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT was built to be an absolutely
awesome machine, and this custom one turns up the heat to 830
horsepower! And while you're going to see some awesome upgrades to
the supercharged V8, don't forget that these are all-around
terrific drivers thanks to the rare fully-independent sports
suspension. So this coupe is not only as dark as midnight, but it's
even meaner, too.
This was the debut year for a new look to the SVT Cobra. They
called these Terminator cars because they kept the rare independent
suspension while also upgrading the power. We'll get to how this is
a juggernaut on the streets in a moment. But first, it's important
to understand how serious Ford was about creating something
ferocious, and thus, why this one looks so mean. The Cobra package
includes a beefy front bumper, new rear fascia, full-width rear
spoiler, and a heat extractor hood for the beast underneath. And
while this is an exceptionally dark total package there is still
room for brightwork. These polished features are there just to
attract more attention to performance pieces, like the upgraded
18-inch alloys, large exhaust tips, snake-bitten badges, and the
COBRA lettering in the rear bumper.
The interior is ready for you to get down to speedy business, but
because this is a modern classic, you also get to have all the best
amenities, too. So there's a long list of desirable features, like
cold-blowing air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power
mirrors, power steering, keyless entry/alarm, dual airbags, and the
factory AM/FM/CD changer stereo. The front bucket seats are
excellent sports car pieces finished in leather with suede inserts.
Yours even power adjusts to the ideal driving position. The
leather-wrapped steering wheel is on a tilt column, and so you can
get a nice view of the white-faced SVT gauges. Plus, as you look
around, you can see some special performance upgrades. The A-pillar
has handy readouts for fuel pressure and boost. There's a large
AutoMeter tach w/shift light mounted front and center on the dash,
and it goes well with the Hurst short-throw shifter.
This short two-year run on Terminator cars are sought-after for
upgrading. That's because Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) made
the 4.6-liter V8 exceptionally strong. It makes them a good base
for tapping into some serious power, and we have over $60k in
receipts showing a big investment in upgrading performance of this
coupe. It starts with that big and bright beacon at the heart of
this engine bay. It's a Whipple 3.4-liter supercharger. The motor
underneath was completely built to be enhanced and fortified. It
includes a Crusher inlet tube, 85lb racing injectors, Alky methanol
injection, and headers feeding an X-pipe dual exhaust. This machine
runs on race gas, and so you get that unmistakable scent of
high-octane power. We even have the dyno sheet that proves this is
now a 830 horsepower machine! You are in full control thanks to the
six-speed manual transmission upgraded with a McLeod twin-disc
racing clutch. And speaking of control, the SVT cars are the only
fourth-gen Mustangs that came from the factory with a fully
independent rear suspension - now upgraded with G Force
half-shafts. Plus, a massive four-wheel power disc brake package,
subframe connectors, and a limited-slip rear end completes this
total performance setup.
The sale comes with the owner's manual packet, build receipts, and
dyno sheet. This is the awesome Cobra that you always knew was out
there. So if you're ready to be the real Terminator, call
