Vehicle Description
This professionally built 1929 Ford Model A hot rod is all steel
and presented in dark blue over a brown leather-upholstered
interior done by Sid Chavers. It's powered by a 400ci V8 engine
outfitted with three Stromberg 97 carbs, Edelbrock aluminum heads,
MSD ignition, and custom valve covers, headers and exhaust, mated
to a 700R4 automatic transmission. This Model A has earned
prestigious awards, including the 2014 Goodguys Truck of the Year
and Top 12 at Goodguys Scottsdale. Countless hours went into this
show-winning build, with high-quality custom work and no detail
overlooked. The entire cab and bed are hand-built, and the doors
have been stretched 2 inches. The aprons, running boards and
louvered belly pan are all hand-built as well. The fenders were
reworked and formed to match the arch of the Dayton wire wheels and
Excelsior radial tires. The paint is a custom PPG mix and was laid
down by professionals. This hot rod pickup sports a one-off
aluminum rear roll pan, bed-mounted fuel tank and firewall. The
chassis was custom built and features a nickel-plated independent
front suspension with rack & pinion steering, 4-bar quick-change
rear end and Wilwood disc brakes. The interior features a Zebra
wood floor and matching custom-built steering wheel, custom Redline
gauges and leather baseball-stitched seats done by Sid Chavers.
