This 1982 Jeep Cherokee Laredo is such a cool vehicle. This is a
clean and rust free Jeep that spent its life in California until
2018 and then went to Arizona. These Cherokees are hard to find and
to find one in this condition is getting impossible. This
particular Cherokee has had a lot of recent mechanical work done to
it and it runs and drives excellent. This Jeep also added
aftermarket Fuel Injection which is a huge plus and makes it easy
to start and a dream to drive. The body on this Cherokee is in
excellent condition. It is very straight with no rust issues as you
would expect from a California and Arizona vehicle. It actually
still has most of its original paint and decals and has a cool
patina look. The paint color is Chestnut Brown. All of the original
stainless and chrome and bumpers are still in excellent condition.
The underside is also in great shape as you can see from the
undercarriage photos. The last owner added new seat belts and
window seals. The interior is also really nice and everything is
original with exception of the headliner, radio and sunroof which
was recently re-sealed and replaced so it does not leak. This Jeep
has the Deluxe Laredo Interior and it is in excellent original
condition. The driver's seat shows just a little wear from sliding
in and out. All of the lights, gauges, wipers, heat and AC are
working and the original clock also still works.
Mechanically this jeep is really excellent. A Lot of work has gone
into this rig recently. The original 360 V8 has been completely
rebuilt (we have receipts). This includes new pistons, new rings,
new bearings, new crank and rods, new cam and lifters. Heads were
redone and they added a highflow water pump and new distributor. A
Howell Fuel Injection System was professionally installed so this
truck strats easy and runs awesome. This included new fuel lines.
The 727 Automatic Transmission was also rebuilt and shifts great.
We did not get the receipt for this. He added an aftermarket
Transmission Cooler as well. It is mated to the np208 Transfer Case
and the 4WD works as it should.
Some other items done to this vehicle was total rebuild of the AC
system which included a new compressor, new hoses, new condenser,
etc. All of the Heater hoses and heater core was also replaced so
the heat and AC work excellent. They installed stainless brake
lines, new brake booster, new master cylinder, new shocks, and new
steering gear box. I think you are getting the picture of how nice
this rig is.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
