This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera was built in April of 1972. The car is
as it was delivered new in yellow with a black interior. A Marti
Report authenticates the Pantera as numbers matching. Many subtle
upgrades and improvements enhance the car such as polished and
chrome engine accents and an Ansa exhaust.
Powered by a 351 Cleveland and backed by a ZF 5-Speed transaxle the
power deliver & acceleration is exhilarating. The car shifts
smoothly, runs flawlessly and stops very well. The restoration was
completed in 2021. The cooling system was replaced, and all
mechanical systems inspected and restored.
The car resided in Tucson Arizona with the same owner since new
until 2020. Early in its history the car was painted blue and a
custom interior was added. Evidence and samples of the changes are
in the documentation binder that comes with the sale. In 2020 a
complete refurbishment took place back to the original color
combination and specification. Subtle cosmetic enhancements include
DeTomaso logoed accessories
Included in the sale are: Factory tool kit, Space-saver spare and
inflation bottle. Marti Report, Owners Manual, Warranty Card,
Factory Workshop Manual, Photo documentation of the restoration. A
modern stereo is integrated into the car.
