White exterior, Tan interior. 3.8L Turbo V6 engine, automatic
overdrivel transmission. Only 23K miles! This TTA (Turbo Trans Am)
is a rare, low mileage Pontiac that checks all the boxes. With only
1,155 of these built, it's not every day you find one in this
condition. The turbo 3.8L V6 was barrowed from the Buick Grand
National and made more power than the Corvette for '89. The
automatic transmission shifts great and the overdrive gear makes
highway cruising easy. Outside, the white paint has a great shine
and features the Official Pace Car graphics for the 73rd Indy 500.
Inside, all TTA's received tan interior, and most were leather.
This interior is in excellent condition and is very original with
only 23k miles. Chassis wise this car has all the performance
options of the GTA Trans Am's. Those include; WS6 Level III
Performance Suspension with Delco gas-charged shocks, tuned coil
springs, four-wheel disc brakes and a fixed-ratio 12.7:1 ratio
steering box. Gold-centered 16 x 8-inch diamond-spoke aluminum
wheels wear staggered offsets and roll Z-rated Goodyear Eagle
radials. The 130-pound-lighter V-6 engine, which sits further back
in the Trans Am's engine bay, helps create more favorable weight
bias. The standard-issue GTA rear axle, with 3.27:1 gearing and
Positraction, was included. There were a palmful of chassis tweaks:
the front springs are the same rate but shorter to compensate for
the engine's lower weight and the shocks were a new deflected-disc
design. This third gen is priced to sell and will not last long!
