Vehicle Description
The tall and wide stance instantly tells you that this 1976 Toyota
FJ40 Land Cruiser has been given plenty of investments to be an
even better off-road machine. And as you dig deeper, you'll
discover upgrades like a versatile interior (including heated
seats!), an overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and a
fuel-injected V8 that make this one ready for anything on or off
the pavement.
The matte green paint is a great look on this FJ. It gives you the
feeling of military-grade toughness, and it's the kind of finish
you won't mind getting muddy. After all, a vehicle like this is
going to live a useful life. The dark green also coordinates with
all the black elements that also really show off the investments in
superior 4x4 toughness. It starts with the stance of the Pro Comp
tires and Hutchinson Rock Monster 17-inch wheels with two-piece
beadlocks. It's such serious off-road equipment that the fenders
were modified to fit the big tires and long suspension travel. Up
front is a tough metal bumper with integrated bull bar and 9500 lb
winch. In the rear is an upgraded metal carrier so you can have a
full-sized spare of the upgraded wheel/tire package. There's also
an RCI fuel cell, tow hook, and drop-down winch. So this is the
kind of 4x4 that knows how to get into the best kinds of trouble,
and it gets itself out of it, too.
The interior is built for both plenty of function and plenty of
comfort. The floor is done in rugged liner paint, there's a high
lift jack in the bed, and you have an upgraded pair of bucket seats
with upgraded belts. The full roll bar package is not only
comprehensive, but also quite thoughtful (see how it curves around
the dash?) This was built for the outdoor and in-nature lifestyle,
but it also does it right. There's a full Spectre bikini top to
keep the sunshine off your shoulders on hot days, and the heated
seats take the chill out of cold mornings. The full gauge panel has
been upgraded to make sure you have the complete info, and a touch
pad now operates everything from the wipers to the upgraded light
kit. There's a Tuffy center console in-between the front buckets.
Not only is this a good place to lock away any valuables, but it
also keeps the AM/FM/CD stereo from harm in case it gets muddy out
on the trail. This stereo system is set up exactly how you want it
with nice features like Bluetooth and marine-grade JL Audio
speakers.
This may be a classic Toyota, but it now has a modern fuel-injected
Chevy heart. This 5.3-liter Vortec motor has been built for extra
power, and it's said to be a 330 horsepower machine. This kind of
extra muscle is perfect for this build that has had big investments
in upgrading the 4x4 suspension. As you look underneath, you'll
spot a strengthened frame that holds upgraded front suspension
arms. There's also King 16-inch remote reservoir coilovers. The
transfer case is an Atlas II twin stick unit. It feeds beefy Daana
axles with Yukon Gears and a 35 Spline Detroit full carrier locker.
The four-speed automatic transmission is from Tilden Motorsports.
So it knows how to both handle this big power motor and give you
overdrive comfort. And there are more good anytime driving
features, like power steering and a beefy four-wheel disc brakes
package.
Complete with build receipts, this is the international symbol for
toughness that has been upgraded to go beyond your wildest
expectations. This is everything you love about a Land Cruiser with
plenty of extra power, too. Don't let it slip away. Call
