If you are in the market for a performance Mustang then Roush should be at the top of your list. This 427R convertible demonstrates that point. With improvements to the drivetrain, exhaust, suspension, exterior, interior, and more, it is not only a huge upgrade over a factory Mustang GT but also provides an exciting driving experience you’ll want to enjoy daily.
This southern example is a 2007 model with just 25k miles and a clean Autocheck report. It looks fantastic with its factory Torch Red paint and white striping, and is nicely accented by the black convertible top. Note this is one of only five such cars produced by Roush in 2007; very unique! There are other Roush accents throughout including the aero kit with front fascia, chin spoiler, rear spoiler and hood scoop. The 18” chrome Roush wheels all wear high performance Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZR tires (285 front, 295 rear). It all gives the car a fantastic look that sets itself apart from other Mustangs and Shelbys.
The drivetrain starts with the Mustang GT 4.6L motor but adds a supercharger along with an intercooler and Roush calibrated ECM. It is factory rated at 427hp (thus the name) and has loads of torque throughout the rpm range. It also makes a wonderful sound under boost! The motor is backed by a 5-speed manual transmission with a Roush short throw shifter. Other 427R equipment includes a sport-tuned suspension with upgraded front struts, rear shocks, springs and stabilizer bars. This one also has the Roush Extreme exhaust.
The interior also gets the Roush treatment starting with the two-tone sport leather seating with Jack Roush insignias. You also get white face gauges, billet aluminum pedals, embroidered floor mats, and a billet aluminum shift handle. This convertible model includes the optional Roush light bar kit which really adds to the look when the top is down. There is also a Shaker 500 audio system along with carbon fiber trim. A car cover is included too.
The Mustang GT is a great car but Roush takes it several steps further. It has an outstanding appearance to go along with its impressive performance. But it is also a car you can live with every day; it has more room, a better seating position, and improved ingress/egress over so many other sports cars. Not to mention only 25k miles and a convertible top. It's a lot of car for this price range!
