Vehicle Description
Is this a cool family classic? The best vehicle to haul the other
toys? A great head-turner for an affordable price? The answer to
all of that is "yes." That's because this 1994 Chevrolet Caprice
Classic wagon has that unmistakably vintage look, but the
eight-person interior and fuel-injected V8 remind you it's
exceptionally useful, too.
This is the last of the big American luxury cars; this is the last
generation Caprice Classic. These are truly substantial in size,
but there's also a graceful look with a gently sloping hood and a
bright trim line that encircles the entire body. And while this one
certainly will remind you of the days when you were a passenger in
the family station wagon, this is also one of the most aerodynamic
shapes they ever gave to these full-size vehicles. So it has a cool
sporty style that's all its own. This still wears its factory
paint, and the Adriatic Blue has the glossy look of a day out on
the sea. And the wood paneling is like a classic ship navigating
this ocean. So it just seems fitting for a classic that was meant
to float down the road.
These were built to be terrific long haul cruisers with seating for
up to eight. It starts with the beige velour seats that have a fold
down front center console to give you individual space when the
middle seat isn't needed. The front seats even power adjusts to the
ideal comfort position. You also get great factory luxuries such as
air conditioning, power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm,
an AM/FM/cassette stereo, anti-lock brakes, and dual airbags. The
reverse-facing third row seat is a great piece we wish we could
still get in wagons today. After all, any noise is facing the other
direction. And if you want to fold both rear rows flat, you've got
the perfect machine to securely haul everything from a weekend's
worth of projects, to the ultimate tailgate package.
Under the hood is in an engine bay that looks like a time capsule.
Below the factory plastic covers is the 5.7-liter LT1 V8 engine
that is believed to be original to the car. Yes, this is the same
type of fuel-injected powerplant that was available in the Corvette
and Impala SS. That's why these are quickly becoming valuable
favorites for tuner/sleeper cars. But the factory tuned these
Caprice Classics for smooth and easy driving, and this remains
refreshingly stock. That means plenty of power whenever you need
it, but the kind of quiet operation that keeps in good standing
with the neighbors. This powerful and luxury dual nature is best
felt on the open road. You have a four-speed automatic transmission
with a highway-ready overdrive, and the suspension is set up for
grand touring. Plus, the power steering, cruise control, and power
brakes w/discs up front are all perfect for the long haul.
Complete with owner's manual, we already know your imagination is
running wild with the places you'll go and the things you can do
with this fuel-injected wagon. But since there is only one up for
grabs, and it's so affordable, you might want to hurry up and call
today!
