The Porsche 964 is the company's internal name for the version of
the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between 1989 and 1993.
The 964 represented a major redesign of the philosophy at Porsche,
and for the first time included features such as coil spring
suspension, ABS and power assisted steering. These features all
improved the 964's driving behavior. This is the second time Driven
has had the pleasure of selling this 964. Originally, the car came
to us after long-term ownership by a Porsche Club of America member
in Virginia, and as a means for Driven to help to raise funds for
an amazing community transportation service in Lynchburg VA
(https://MoveUpLynchburg.org). We sold the car in the fall of 2019
to a customer with a build-slot at Singer where it was to be
modified with a ''Pagini Huayra'' theme. However, our customer's
plans changed in mid-2020 and we find ourselves once again offering
this Carrera 2 for sale. We are glad to have the 964 back with its
retro purple interior. Not to mention its an absolute delight to
drive in town and on the back roads. The engine is strong with good
compression and leakdown, and the Singer pre-purchase inspection
shows no sign of the car having previous accident damage. Contact
us at Driven for more details on this wonderful daily driver.
