Evoluzione is shown here in Derby Green with the Grey Alcantara
upholstery and charcoal carpets. The exterior has one respray and
shows extremely with no signs of rust or previous body work. All
interior upholstery and carpet is original and in exceptional
condition. All manuals, service book, receipts, annual technical
control inspections, and large historical file accompany the
vehicle which show a total of 3 owners. Originally sold new on June
6, 1992 to an owner residing in Biella, Italy. The original owner
kept the Lancia for over a decade when finally sold on July 7, 2003
to a Jean Charles who was a proprietor of a high end auto boutique
in St Mande, France. We believe Jean Charles kept the vehicle at an
estate near Le Coteau from the information contained in the service
records. Jean Charles kept the Lancia for 2 years when he passed on
ownership to a Mr DeJess of La Bonneville-sur-Iton on Septemer 21,
2005.A very original Integrale Evo in excellent all around
condition now showing approximately 131,000 KM (82,000 miles). All
appears to be factory original with Lancia logos and matching VIN
etching with exception of the windshield. A smooth running
turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four puts traction to the ground
through a five-speed manual transmission and all wheel drive. This
Integrale does have the factory rear waterbag option which provides
additional cooling to the intercooler. The Evolution I is obvious
in appearance with an adjustable rear spoiler and longer extended
boxed fender flares to accommodate the extended track width.
Additional factory features include power front windows, adjustable
headlights, fog lights, disc brakes with ABS, factory Recaro bucket
seats. An aftermarket Clarioin ARX6270R cassette player with 6 disc
changer and Alpine speakers has been installed. Original 15'x7.5'
Lancia factory rims with 205/50ZR15 tires. Looking through the
three-spoke steering wheel the driver will see yellow-letter Veglia
Borletti gauges including a speedometer, tachometer, voltmeter,
fuel gauge, temp, and bar. Offset to the right is another set of
gauges with oil temp and oil pressure plus a bank of additional
warning lights. The service book shows the original owner maintained
the vehicle with the selling Lancia dealer in Biella, Italy. An
engine rebuild was performed by the Lancia dealer in Le Coteau,
France approximately 30,000 miles ago. The engine suffered from a
blown head gasket but the owner decided to have the entire engine
rebuilt. Recent maintenance and new parts includes a turbo
(cartridge replaced and retained factory original housing), OEM EVO
specific struts, belts, and throttle position sensor.Lancia boasts
a rich motorsport history and at the time had its own motorsport
department, Lancia HF (High Fidelity), where competition components
were developed. From the mid-sixties onwards, Lancia supplied, in
addition to specific components, ready-made HF competition models
to privileged customers. Best known are the Fulvia Rallye HF,
Lancia Stratos and the Lancia Group B guns Lancia 037 and Lancia
Delta S4.After Group B rally cars were banned in the World Cup
after the disastrous 1986 season, Lancia was best prepared for the
future with Group A rally cars. After all, Lancia had the compact
family car, the Lancia Delta. The top model of this model, the
Delta HF Turbo four-wheel drive, was installed in the competition
department. Lancia sent this competition animal under the name
Lancia Delta HF 4WD and later Delta Integrale to the World Cup.
With success because Lancia won the constructor title in the World
Championship rally six times in a row (1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991
and 1992). During all these years, Lancia continued to develop the
Delta. The track versions naturally benefited from this success.
The 2 liter engine of 165 hp from the Delta HF 4WD evolved to 210
hp in the Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V Evoluzione. After the World
Cup campaign, the demand for the Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V
Evoluzione remained particularly high. Especially for these
enthusiasts, Lancia developed the ultimate Delta HF Integrale 16V
Evoluzione 2 or simply EVO 2. The EVO 1 and EVO 2 grew into a
collector's item. Good specimens with few miles on the clock and an
extensive maintenance history are rare.
