Many would argue the C6 Corvette (2005-2013) to be the last "true"
Corvette with its round taillights being replaced on the C7,
although it was the first Corvette to feature exposed headlamps
since 1962. GM introduced the lightest Corvette Z06 model in 2006
with the largest displacement, most powerful, naturally aspirated,
small-block engine ever produced - the 427.8ci LS7 - making 505
horsepower!
The Z06 contains many enhancements over its standard brethren:

The 2009 version you see here has all the goodies of a "normal"
Z06, plus a lot more added by the previous owner.
Upon first glance, you are stopped in your tracks by the Victory
red paint and dark tinted windows. With only 29,500 miles on the
odometer, the paint on this car is virtually flawless, with not
even a rock peck from the nose to the aftermarket spoiler. An
aftermarket hood with a pronounced bulge and extra cooling ducts
give it a sinister look from the front. A clear bra is installed on
the fenders, hood, mirrors, and lower rockers, but a car cover and
vinyl bra come with it to keep it that way.
Next, you notice the ZR1 replica wheels finished in black
powdercoat and machined aluminum with the red calipers peeking
through, which add to the killer look. Wrapped in 325/30ZR19 rear
and 275/35ZR18 front Michelin Pilot Super Sports, one would think
they could handle the stock horsepower.
But alas, we told you this is no normal Z06. If the idle exhaust
note from the Corsa exhaust doesn't tip you off, just blip the
throttle and hold your ears! Thanks to an A&A supercharger kit
with a V-3Si trim package, the V8 LS7 will melt the tires while
putting 657 horsepower to the rear wheels. The best part is the
supercharger doesn't degrade everyday driving - it essentially
freewheels while cruising, thanks to a large blow-off valve. A
custom ECU with new plugs and wires gives this Z06 an incredible
throttle response. A Dewitt's radiator keeps things cool as you
punch up through the gears on the six-speed manual
transmission.
Inside, you will be happy to have Pyrotech five-point harnesses to
hold you into the black with red leather accent bucket seats when
on the track, but for regular driving, you can use the factory
seatbelts. The interior hardly looks used for a 12-year-old car. An
aftermarket Punisher steering wheel wrapped in leather and
Alcantara match the leather shift knob. Change up the look a bit
with Punisher floormats or Z06 Corvette Racing floormats; it comes
with both!
Creature comforts inside include the heads-up display to keep your
eyes on the road. Satellite/navigation radio with steering wheel
controls comes standard, as does power mirrors, multi-zone climate
control, cruise control, keyless entry, power driver seat, remote
trunk release, and keyless start. Also, some additional goodies
come with the car, such as a custom Corvette windshield shade, rear
cargo area cover, extra floor mats, and a battery charger in the
trunk.
