1966 Dodge Charger
Car History
We have a nice 1966 Dodge Charger here at Adventure Classics that
has had a full restoration, packs a 440 cubic inch big block, great
color, and has had the same owner for over 25 years.
Engine & Drivetrain
Mechanically, our Charger has a new built 440 cubic inch big block
under the hood, with the block and intake painted orange, a
4-barrel carb, Mopar Performance aluminum finned valve covers,
K&N chrome open element air cleaner, MSD electronics,
performance spark plug wires, Flowmaster dual exhaust system, power
disc brakes, power steering, all in a very nice painted, clean, and
detailed engine compartment.
The engine is backed by a 727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic
transmission with a 2000 stall converter and is linked to 3.23
gears in a 3:23 Locker rear end. It rides on rare factory spinner
hubcaps that are fitted to 14-inch steel wheels with redline tires,
that give it that right look and stance.
Interior
It has a black twin bucket seat interior that have a horizontal
pleat look, front and rear, black carpets, center console with
bright stainless trim, seat matching armrest, great dash with the
factory gauges including a tach and 150 MPH speedometer, the
working original radio, 3-spoke sport steering wheel, and chrome
automatic floor shifter peeking out of the console.
There is also a huge storage area behind the rear seats, under the
rear window, plus a large trunk with full-sized spare and jack.
Exterior
The Charger has a vibrant green paint job covering the sheet metal
with the wild-for-its-day styling and has good chrome and trim,
large grille with hidden headlights, single-element taillight, and
side faux scoops.
This car is a fine combination of performance and luxury that is
also a classic styled fastback package.
Conclusion
This 1966 Dodge Charger we have here at Adventure Classics has had
a full restoration and runs even better than it looks.
It is a great muscle car with great options and a stunning color
that will attract a crowd.
