Vehicle Description
This 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle was given a comprehensive
restoration to deliver a VW that looks vibrant on the outside,
vintage and comfortable inside, sturdy in the engine bay, and a
better all-around driver. So if you're looking for the Bug that's
already a great all-around classic, then this is the one.
This car was given a full professional restoration that was
complete in 2016. So the yellow paint has the shine of a newer
application that looks vibrant day or night. The work on this one
was all about creating a very authentic package. So you won't find
wild upgrades, and instead, you'll appreciate the work in the
fundamentals. It's in the bright chrome bumpers, shining headlight
bezels, pliable window rubber, good light lenses, and full length
trim that loves to show off the Beetle's unique shape. So this
really lets you appreciate the design that comes with this
first-year Super Beetle.
The black interior looks quite nice against the exterior yellow.
And all the vibrant yellow interior steel that was painted during
the restoration also proves it. As you look at the seats,
carpeting, and door panels, you can recognize a solid investment to
keep this deep, dark, and fresh. Even the front buckets had new
foam padding installed. While they invested in this car, they also
made sure to keep this classic looking quite stock. You have the
original-style steering wheel with Wolfsburg crest, correct VDO
gauge, and even a period-correct AM radio powers on. So it kinda
feels like this VW loves to turn back the clock.
In the back is the familiar 1600 cc air-cooled flat-four engine.
This is an era-correct block, and it's believed to be original to
the car. But the full restoration means plenty of updating in from
the last nearly half-century. It now has a fresh look everywhere
from the fan housing to the hoses. So the famously hardy VW
powerplant fires up and runs with added confidence. The Super
Beetle is an important step forward in a better handling car, and
this one takes that even further. The restoration included new ball
joints, performance struts, and urethane bushing. The brake system
was redone with new hydraulics and an upgraded front disc kit. It
makes for a confident and crisp driver. Plus, with the control of a
four-speed manual transmission and that hypnotic air-cooled hum,
you know this one is just ready to hit the road.
The sale comes complete with owner's manual and restoration photos
that show you this VW's full journey. It's a bright Bug that was
built for true classic car fun. Call today!!!
