This 1983 GMC K1500 stepside 4x4 is a custom Desert Fox tribute
truck with a new Pro-Comp 6-inch leaf spring lift and shocks. It's
powered by a custom 5.3-liter LS 8-cylinder engine with a mild cam
paired with a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission and rides on
brand-new 35-inch BFGoodrich tires mounted on 8x15 Mickey Thompson
wheels. Both the engine compartment and transmission transfer case
were painted to match the body in base coat/clear coat paint. This
truck was purchased new in Mesa, AZ, and has never left the state.
It retains its original sheet metal with no aftermarket pieces. It
was painted off the frame in base coat/clear coat paint with no
bodywork done. The glass is original except for the windshield, and
a new oak bed has been installed. The interior features a new
headliner and door panels, the original chocolate and tan bench
seat, original tan carpet, original dash, new Dakota Digital gauges
with red display and a Kenwood 2-knob stereo. CARFAX shows
potential odometer rollover on 05/05/2001.
