This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback was built on July 20, 1965 at the San Jose, California plant and is powered by an A-code 289ci V8 paired with a C4 automatic transmission and a 2.83 rear differential. The car is finished in Rangoon Red with white stripes over a black vinyl interior and is fitted with a fiberglass GT350-style hood and 15″ wheels. Additional equipment includes quarter vents, bucket seats, an aluminum radiator, and an aftermarket exhaust system.
Polished 15″ Magnum 500-style wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires sized 215/65 front and 235/60 rear. The 2+2 cabin is finished in black with vinyl front bucket seats and red lap seat belts. Additional equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel and Mustang-branded floor mats. The factory radio was removed, and a modern replacement is installed. Instrumentation includes a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows under 5k miles, the true mileage is unknown.
The A-code 289ci V8 features chrome valve covers and an air cleaner housing. An aftermarket exhaust system and aluminum radiator have been added. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a C4 three-speed automatic and a 2.83:1 rear axle.
