original red interior Mercedes-Benz 450 SL. He purchased the car
five years ago. The car is in very good working order. It runs
well, looks great and is very reliable. The lower dash near the
gearshift shows some wear. The original jack is missing from the

Chicago 450SL came out of its unbroken one family 40 year ownership
when the current owner purchased it five years ago. Comes with a
color keyed hardtop. The black canvas top is in excellent shape
with vibrant color showing no rips, tears or fraying. The paint
shows excellent preservation and appears mostly original. This
attractive silver color looks great in all conditions; its
appearance is consistent with the quality and depth of Mercedes
single stage paint executed in the 70s era. All body panels and
shut lines are even and correct. The original dash pad shows wear
down low near the gear shift. The Red MB Texupholstery is in nice
condition and has supple shape with only minor nicks with less than
expected wear. Door cards are clean and crisp. Loop carpet is
original in good shape. The original Blaupunkt radio is in good
working order. The original electronic antennae is in working order
but needs to be reconnected to the dashboard button. Excellent
drive quality. Nice torque, even acceleration. Smooth shifting all
the way through the factory 3-speed transmission. Please Note The
