Vehicle Description
This 1969 Camaro RS is a product of a professional, frame-off
restoration and custom build into a high-quality Resto-Mod. Known
and badged as "Hardcore," this custom Camaro was professionally
built with attention to detail throughout. The DuPont ChromaPremier
black paint with pearl Rally stripes is laid over laser-straight
body panels aligned to better-than-factory standards. This Camaro
is powered by a 392ci stroked twin-turbo V8 engine capable of
producing 1,200hp built by well-known Speedsouth Active Power
Racing. The engine is mated to a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed
automatic transmission connected to a narrowed 12-bolt rear end
with a posi-traction differential fitted with Moser 4.11 gears. It
features a Pro-Touring suspension with a complete Detroit Speed
front setup fitted with power steering and VariShock adjustable
coilovers. Out back is a 4-link rear suspension with adjustable
coilovers. The jewelry box-like engine compartment features
polished crisscrossed turbo plumbing feeding FAST XFI fuel
injection controlled by an MSD ignition. Other major features
include ceramic-coated headers feeding a MagnaFlow exhaust with
large-diameter tailpipes, Ron Davis radiator with two electric
puller fans, Painless wiring harness, hydro-boosted Wilwood power
brake system with polished calipers clamping on drilled and slotted
rotors, air conditioning and a custom fuel tank. This custom Camaro
sits on Asanti wheels with body-colored painted spokes and pearled
lips, wrapped in 245/35ZR19 and 345/25ZR20 Nitto Invo tires. The
custom interior by well-known Paul Atkins utilizes a combination of
leather and suede and features custom seats with buckets up front
and in the back, a custom console, AutoMeter gauges, a MOMO Nero
steering wheel and a modern audio system. Additional features and
custom touches include vacuum-operated hideaway headlights, a
traditional cowl-induction hood, F2 sport mirrors, RS louvers and
billet marker lamps, flush taillights, a D80 spoiler and a slightly
modified roll pan. This custom comes complete with operating
instructions and build receipts.
